Hello. I bought this game last week and the whole time it has been saying the 2KSports Server is not available. Will it ever be?

On 1 November 2012 all of the 2K Sports servers except for NBA 2K13 and MLB 2K12 have been taken offline. 2K Sports announced that they will NOT be bringing those servers back online, so none of the online features will be ever be available again for those titles.
This is a pretty common issue for sports titles, as the companies only leave their servers up until the next annual game is released.
