Deleted world?

My 6 year world's world has disappeared. I have no idea how he has done it, the icon/picture and name is there but everything in the world has been deleted. Is there any way to get it back? He is very upset. Any ideas welcomed : )

We've had just that situation happen when we had saved the game world on the cloud but then loaded the game with the local drive selected. Check to see if that is what you have done?
