The Nether is finite, on every version. The 360 version just happens to have a MUCH smaller Nether, about 860x860 blocks.

All you can do is cover the nether in tnt and blow it all up.

Yes. The Nether in the Xbox 360 version is very small. It will be dangerous, and will take a long time, but you can "destroy" the entire Nether.

The two most difficult parts of the task will be the ceiling and the lava lake. The lava lake can be filled in with gravel and then mined away, but the ceiling requires more planing.
