The Xbox 360 Minecraft map is small enough that it shouldn't be too much a problem.

If you built near the spawn, you can use a compass to find your way back. Compasses ONLY point you to your ORIGINAL spawn (not beds).

If you slept in a bed in your house, you can kill yourself (fall into the void or switch to survival and die normally). This will cause you to respawn next to the bed.

If you ventured into the Nether, you can go there and search for the portal, you may get lucky.

Do a systematic search. Starting in one corner, travel directly in one direction (north, south, east, or west). Once you hit the edge of the map, move maybe 50 blocks to your right or left and then go to the far end. Repeat as necessary. (Example, start in the NE corner and travel due south. Once you hit the edge, move about 50 blocks to the right/west and then travel north. Keep moving a bit west every time you hit the edge.)

If you built something big enough to be seen on a map, make one and wander around. As the map fills in, keep checking to see if your structure appears. This also works if you built near a shore, island, or biome boundry (for example, desert or taiga and anything else) that you would recognize.

Of course, if you built your house underground, these options (except for the Nether) won't work unless you recognize what's at the surface.

Well I don't know if you have the xbox 360 version or pc version but it should not matter use you're map and if you built a big house you can see the color of the material you built it out of thats what I do
