Ok so I did the first playthrough of the game and only one person died and that was tali because I chose legion over her when they fought and I don't know how to keep both members on my team after the suicide mission so how can everyone become loyal without them fighting?

If your Paragon points are high enough you can help the two get over the argument and both will be loyal. If you have high enough renegade, I'm pretty sure that will do the same thing, but both will be loyal in a different way. If your points aren't high enough, try not using Tali or Legion for any major roles through the suicide mission. Not sure if that will change anything, but it's worth a shot!
If Tali isn't loyal don't make her do anything important because. The not loyal people will either get killed or get one of your loyal followers killed. For example the part where you have to walk through the area with all the seeker swarms. I picked samara who wasn't loyal and in the end Garrus died and this made me mad so I started over because Garrus is my second favorite character next to Tali. Anyway the next time I use Jack who was loyal and we made it out fine, while my friend used Samara and she was loyal and had no problems so I think loyalty decides who dies.
