Question for Mass Effect 2

I'm going in with Mordin and Grunt to take out the Geth Colossus without any ammo. I'm totally out. I can get to the corners in the far left or far right side of the screen, but the Geth soldiers keep coming and by the time I get the power cells I still don't have a whole lot of ammo and I'm invariably overtaken by the Geth soldiers. The sniper nook on the far right side is a great place, but once you get the power cells you can't jump back up there. I've died like 15 times on this one part. If I had enough ammo, or a character with Warp or Overload, it would be so much easier. Is there any way to abort the mission and go back in with the right characters and enough ammo, or is there a way for me to beat it as is?

Try to Melee a couple of Geth for their heat pack ammo things. They'll drop some once they die. Just stick to cover, and lure them towards you. If you have Throw or any other medium/long range biotic then that will do. You don't really have to worry too much about the Colossius. Just stick to cover. Try catch a couple of Geth from the flanks and you should be able to replenish ammo.

And to answer the 2nd part of your qustion go to the "load" option in the menu and you'll be given the option to start the mission from the start

You have three choices to do and each choice has two sub-choices. First one is in the middle for a frontal attack on the Geth but that leaves you vunerable to the all sides. The second choice is the walkway on your left. It has enough thermal clips for you to get to the colossius. Third choice is has load the game that has (Restart Mission) right by the save.

Now for the sub-choices:
Choice 1:
OPTION 1: Kill any geth that come close to you and have your biotics ready.
OPTION 2: Hit and run until you get to cover. Once you're in cover, try to make it to the right side so you can have a better view of the battle field.

Choice 2:
OPTION 1: Kill any geth that come your way and take cover.
OPTION 2: Have your squadmates kill (It is wise not to have Mordin due to his low health) distract the enemies so you can get to the power cells that is up on the stone corner right before you see the Colussius.

Choice 3:
OPTION 1: Kill but reload after every kill or when the clip gets to critical level.
OPTION 2: Have your squadmates kill the enemies with you by pressing the Left or Right D-Pad buttons on the enemy you want dead very quickly (Do this on Primes, Destroyers, and Pyros to kill them quickly)
