Look it is really up to you I like soldier because of the fact you can be a tank so what makes you're fighting easier go with it

Soldier is good if you've just started playing. If you feel more confident, you can choose another class.

Start off with soldier, it's good for new players as you can get in tanks.

Yes and no I like to start out with the solder class because you can us the asalt rifle but the choice is really yours

It depends on you're playing style to

It depends. Depending on what background you choose, you'll get a different mix of play styles. I like straight combat to start, since you can get all four weapon achievements (Pistol, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle), and when you get all those, when you make a new character you'll be able to add one of those proficiencies to that guy. (I.E., I pick Soldier first time around and get the achievements for Assault Rifle and Shotgun use. Now, I start the game as a Biotic, and I can choose to add Assault Rifle training or Shotgun training to my biotic to make it more rounded).

After picking Soldier to start, pick the others so you can get their achievements, and then you can make a character with any one bonus skill you want!

Vanguard is a good class for some one who likes to get up close and personal with your opponent. (Just don't get up close and personal with a Krogan.) But since you are a beginner, I would suggest that you begin with the soldier class. It is pretty well-rounded for every variety of combat. Plus the tech and biotic attacks are useful for the vanguard, but they take in my opinion to long to recharge to be used again. The soldier class is just as efficient as the vanguard if not more.
