What does ring 1 or 3 or whatever mean in superstar mode when you pick the type of the position your guy is for example for a qb theres scrambling qb and pocket and balanced then theres one that says you have to complete ring 4 to unlock it please help

It means to be that style of QB you have to be on ring 4 or above.
