No Golbin to open gate in Free Play level 1-1 the magic begins
Every time I wave at him he just disappears and I need to get into that gate to get the Goblin character token. What can I do?

uhh i finally found your answer as i was having the same problem. The problem is your used to using the "Y" key to change characters, but to switch to the goblin you need to use your right hand bumper button instead. At the beginning of "free Play" it flashes a list of characters that you can cycle through by using the "R" bumper button.
