I need some information on this game, when will this come out? My Friend told me it starts before the Halo 1, is this true?

It is before halo basicly before master cheif but it should come out on jan 1 if not early next year or late this year and I have read lots of stuff about it and I found that this is the time when john(master cheif) is on his first mission and doesnt even know about the covenant and he doesnt even have his armor I think it's like when hes 14 or something so it's gonig to be before him
