I don't know for sure but gamestop.com says it comes out on December 31, of 2007. It could change anytime though. Just incase your wondering where Halo Wars takes place. It takes place when the UNSC first meet the Covenant which would be Harvest in Operation TREBUCHET. It says this in the Halo novel Halo: Fall of Reach. There is aways a chance that it could take place on planet Reach (which it most likely will) because the Spartan IIs get their MJOLNIR Battle Armor, not to long before the Covenant attack Reach. It shows planet Reach in the first video of halo 2 where the covenant are attacking the Reach (The planet thats on fire with all the Covenant ships around it) and where the arbiter gets busted for failing his mission on the first Halo.
I'm sorry if I went on too long about stuff that doesn't answer your question I just wanted to give a small background on where it would take place.
