Why does it seem like I'm always a zombie in infection mode when it's supposed to be random?

The game tends to choose the person based on the game stats. If you have more kills, you have a higher chance at being zombie, same with more deaths and less kills.
This I based off my own experiences. Other factors may play into it as well.
