ANSWERS

I would suggest a Plasma Pistol and either a Needler Rifle or DMR. Plasma Pistol to overcharge and take down shields/power down vehicles. Needler Rifle/DMR for plenty of headshots. Was always the best combo for me.

I'd use weapons with easy to find ammo such as the Assault Rifle to get rid of grunts, as they aren't worth the DMR/Needler Rifle ammo. Magnums are very useful as well. Plasma Pistols do magic on Elites shields but don't bother using them for anything else. Most brutes (minus the chieftans) have shields, so use the PP for that as well.

Oh yea, Don't rely on explosive weapons for taking out infantry (unless you have a Fuel Rod or a Rocket Launcher). Save those for anti-armour.

For taking out hunters, use a gravity hammer, rocket launcher or plasma launcher, but don't waste any bullets on the armour, cos it's a big waste of ammo.
