I saw that the flamethrower was in the game but why can't I find it.

You can find it the first level that you see the flood " floodgate ". I forgot where exactly I found it but as soon as you enter the whearhouse bulding, it's in there somewhere.

You can find a flamethrower on the levels "Floodgate" and "Cortana". Both are hidden somewhat so you have to search around a little.

If you still haven�t found the flamethrowers then on the level floodgate it�s on a walkover bridge. The bridge is just before you drop down into the room where Cortana appears.
The other two are on the level Cortana, the first one is near the start where the downed pelican is. Where you end up finishing the level. There�s also a rocket launcher and shotgun there. The second one is about halfway through and in an opening to the ship. Walk down to the end and there should be a body lying next to it.

There is one more flamethrower noone noone else seems to have seen. It's on the final level(halo) it's right next to the top of either the first or third ramp on the structure.if you don't see it at first just move around in that general area a bit till it appears in top-right corner telling you to press rb to pick up.

I've found the flame thrower on the level halo in co-op with 4 others it was on the first level of the building with flood on

You can only use the Flamethrower in Forged mode. So once you have a Forged map, make sure you place it in the map and it will be useable.
