No. The elephant is a heavy United Nations Space Command Marine Corps mobile command and search & recovery vehicle to be featured in Halo 3 only on the multiplayer level Sandtrap.

It's a big vehicular base that can carry two mongooses, a warthog, a scorpion tank and 12 infantry and has a anti air gun next to the cockpit it isnt on campaign and is only availble on the biggest multiplayer map sandtrap very strong but very slow and a good place for hiding but the easyist way for people to shoot you is if they jump on and shoot you from behind

Everyone else is right, but, their is a turret on it called the "Elephant Turret"

No, the Elephant your referring to is actually a Marine Corp. Aircraft you will ride on in Halo 3.
