Question for Halo 3

I have already beat the game on Legendary but I do not know how to pick up the skulls. I located the two skulls on the first level, Sierra, but I can't seem to pick them up or activate them. My question is how do you recieve credit for the skulls, do you just walk over them or is there something else you need to do?

You simply walk over to them and pick them up as a weapon.When you do you get an achievment (there are 5 skulls or something that DONT give an achievment, but you still need them).Then you just do what ever you want with the skull.

Hold down RB.

You need to hold down right bumper and hold it for around 5 seconds you can't just drop it because sometimes it wont give you the gamer points for it.
