Xbox Live

I know this isn't anything to do with halo but here goes. I'm going to get live soon but I don't know how to set it up. I looked on the xbox website but I don't really understand it. Can someone explain it to me in simple terms? And to connect your 360 to the internet do you need wireless broadband to to use a wireless adaptor/router?

Thanks if you answered!

Comment:(May 18 2008) But do you need wireless broadband for the wireless thing that connects your 360 to the internet.

First you have to hook your xbox up to the internet, you can use wireless or L.A.N. Cables or D.S.L. Cables. Then you turn on your xbox and choose the account you want to have Live, once you have the account up there will be an option under the account that asks if you want to join Live, click on that and fill out all of the information and yes it takes a really really long time to fill out!! Somewhere along the line it will ask you if you want to use a credit card or a xbox live card (the xbox live card is one you can get a wall mart and it has a series of numbers and letters on it). And if your just getting the silver membership choose the membership that costs nothing (if you get the silver membership you will have one month free of gold, but you will still be able to download content). If you're wondering what the difference is between silver and gold I'll tell you. The difference is with gold you can play with your friends on games like Halo 3, Gears Of War, Call of Duty, and many others. I hope this helped and if it works go ahead and look me up on live, my GamerTag is THEUNCONVINCING so then you'll have at least one friend=]

Cybertron answered:

Hook up the L.A.N or D.S.L cables. Then pick which live account you want then fill out the info and choose what kind you want.

Aeon-Flux answered:

Hook up your Ethernet cables.
