No,you're not a stupid idiot.Idiots are people who don't even know how to play the game[just an example not really true].The glitches usually are sometimes random luck depending the area where you are and such etc.On other occasions,you would have to go to a specific area and do something to cause the glitch.

Its just random, and also lucky to find glitches by yourself. But they don't help you in the game.
