Is there any way I can buy a business so I can make more money? I was looking on my emails and someone sent me an email with a whole list of businesses.

You can't buy a business, but there is a way to make money. Finish all Stevies missions and then you can drop car at his garage for money. Hope this helps.

Taxi Missions, and selling Stevie cars is the best way of work to get money, Stevie's Cars mainly, but yeah.

There is no way of creating your own business' etc, the Emails are just addintional fun to the game. Spam emails, make more realism and stuff.

Those are spam emails, like you get in real life.
YOu cannot buy any form of business.
