Question for Final Fantasy XI

Is this game realy worth buying and paying the seven dollars every month? Plus I have a few question's .....
1. Can you create and do what ever you want with your character?
2. Can you summon Beast's like in Final Fantasy X ( 10 )?
3. Can you go where ever you want when ever you want?
And 4. Is it online?

first of all this is probly a question that could be answered by reading the "reviews" section

second of all (a brief review) this rpg is mostly enjoyable for dedicated players than a "spir of the moment gamer (like you traded halo3 for odst then traded that for MW2 then traded that for reach and are going to swap for Black ops haha) it takes a decent amount of time to get to the point where you can enjoy the game for all its worth, but once you are there it can be an excelent online experience
