Question for FIFA 12

How is the overall rating of a player calculated (ultimate team)?
Eg. Sergio Busquets has overall 83, but not one of his stats (pace, shooting, etc...) is higher than 83. Isn't there something wrong then? Same story for a lot of other players, with bad stats but a high overall score, or with good stats but a low overall score.

EA watch them play and give them stats eg. Heading, shooting etc and they average it out. Sergio busquets' highest stat is defending 83 so they use that as a sort of marker for his overall. This can go wrong because if you look at Wayne Rooney he shouldn't be rated 90 because none of his stats point towards it
