Question for Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer

I'm on the red ghost stage and kill everybody I need to kill before I go down a elevator and theres a laser beam fence that I can't get past with a red box on the left hand side of the wall how do I get past that part or what am I missing behind me

You throw a grenade power ball thingy at it when you're going down the elevator.
