What is an easy acquired gun with high damage

I die easily because I don't have any good guns. Is there one I can get easily? I can buy it if I need to. I got 25,000 caps.

A good gun to get is simply called "That Gun". This gun can easily be acquired in Novac with either you purchasing it or stealing it from the back room of the dino store. I usually get it then go to the quest "Come Fly With Me" to which it does 1 shot kills to ghouls when hit in the head. It is light, strong, and an excellent weapon for a starter.

If you need another gun I would suggest going north of Novac to Old Lady Gibsons scrapyard and buy a gun off her or something, although "That Gun" would be the best option in my opinion.

(Off the topic of guns, if you're dying a lot you should get a higher endurance which can be gotten by the Intense Training perk or implants which cost 4000 each. You can get only one endurance implant.)
