Question for Fallout: New Vegas

I'm at the beginning of the game and was wondering what happens if I decide to help Ringo and what happens if I help the Powder Gangers? And which is a better choice if you want to be a good person?

Well, it's up to you really, but if you help Goodsprings, you will get infamy with the Powder Gangers, and if you help the Powder Gangers you will gain infamy with Goodsprings.
Just to let you know, if you help Goodsprings, you will get goods from the shops at a cheaper price and be able to sell items at a bit higher price

Hope this helps, and enjoy Fallout: New Vegas

If you want good Karma then help Ringo. You will face the Powder Gangers in a few different areas. Don't help Ringo too early, you'll want to collect some weapons and ammo first. Don't bother with the TNT but get the others it coaches you too.

Just like with the previous title in the series, Fallout: New Vegas is built around a morality system that reacts to the choices that you make. If the choice you make is a small one, the changes can be small, but if you make a major choice, like aligning yourself with a morality-evil gang like the Powder Gangers, the consequences can be far reaching.

Basically some people will refuse to deal with or talk to you, and others will shoot you on sight once you reach the point that they consider you aligned with the bad guys. In this situation you already know what the "good" choice is, but if you are really curious about what will happen you can just make a save and play through the bad side for a bit to see what that is like, then revert to the save and take the good route.
