Downloading On To Hard Drive

I realized that I can download this game (And others) into my 360 Hard drive. If I download this game into my hard drive, what would change? A couple of pros and cons would be nice.

Well it takes up a good bit of space if you have the 20 GB HDD, but it uses less disc spinning power so it's easier on your 360 and quieter. Some games (I haven't tested this on Fallout 3) don't play the same as they use to, like ground not loading and just overall things just being not there ( Grand Theft Auto IV) and people looking very odd (NBA 2K9). I've only encountered one game that doesn't have any draw backs when you download it onto there, and that is Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Anyways, there aren't really cons since you can just delete it off your HDD if anything gets messed up and such.

I have installed it onto my Hard Drive and it does speed up the game a bit on the loading screens. But nothing drastic happens it is easier on the disk however so if you have the 120 GB hard drive I would recomemnd doing it.

There is nothing really wrong with downloading a game on your hard drive. It takes up a lot of space. I have Fallout 3 on my hard drive and it's a lot faster. The 360 is quieter and actually won't heat up your 360 as much...so no RRoD on that part.

wrasmusson answered:

Shorter loads, and a little quieter

GraemeM answered:

Loads quicker and it shuts it up a bit

imaloony8.0 answered:

Pros: Quicker load times, and makes the disk have to spin less, reducing scratches and making the 360 a bit quieter.

Cons: Takes up a good amount of space on your Hard Drive, and doesn't have a lot of pros.

I wouldn't do it if I were you. The Fallout 3 load times aren't very long as it is.

Morrowind Nerd answered:

Well I think thats just a waste of time and why download an entire game? What if it crashes? You got nuthin, just buy on a disk sure disks scratch but if it takes some serious hacking to delete all data on a game disk so do what you got to do but I'm just suggesting buy the disk.

KingofCorn answered:

Well you would never have to leave your chair to change the game which is a big plus in my book. Also it would slow down some loading screens. Also you should make sure you have plenty of hardrive space.
