I would say let him die, he's pretty much useless anyway. I think telling him to go to Vault 101 would work though.

superbird5005 answered:

Just make them wait at your house. I think that works. If not, send him to Vault 101.

TheEvilSpartan117 answered:

That doesn't sound right. You see, you can have another follower even if you have Dogmeat. Dogmeat actually doesn't count as a follower like the others do. But apparently your situation is different for some reason. I haven't had that problem before. If you still can't get another follower with Dogmeat, kill him (if possible), let him die like the previous poster suggested, or send him to wait at Vault 101.

CyberneticMooninite answered:

^ He's correct, Dogmeat doesn't count towards being a follower. Making him wait or sending him to Vault 101 won't help. I don't know the problem unless you have another follower you told to wait somewhere.

wrasmusson answered:

You can only have one follower and dogmeat I think

therapper answered:

Dog meat is nopt a follower as he counts as your pet he's only real use is to find things you may find hard, I know this cos I have had the goul from the underworld and dogmeat with at the same time.
