Repairing

Question asked by Ryuzaki on

Repairing

This sounds nooby, but when can I repair stuff? The game never explained it. I try to repair weapons, but the option in my Pip-boy is not working. Do I need a hammer like in Oblivion?

Ok to repair stuff you need to go to the type of item you want to repair. No you will need a hammer.....but you need 2 of the same item. Let's say you need to repair a laser pistol, you need 2 of them. Press Y and you should get the option to repair. Remember you also need the repair level to do it too.

maximum payne answered:

No you don't need a hammer, all you need is another copy of weapon that is exactly like the on you are trying to repair then you use y and repair the item but you need the level to repair it.

imaloony8.0 answered:

You don't need a hammer, you just need another of that weapon or piece of clothing. You also need a high enough repair to repair it further than where it is. For example, if your repair skill was 50, and you had two 10mm pistols, you could repair one to 50% at maximum. At 100 repair, you can repair weapons and clothing to 100%, but only if you have armor that is similar or the same as the one you have. (A hunting rifle would repair Ol' Painless, but an assault rifle would not.)

the Grudge answered:

It depends on your repair skill and you have to have to of the some gun.
