Wow that is a really difficult question because we don't understand what you are asking.
If you mean how long does Xbox LIVE work after you change your Gamertag name, the answer is for ever. IF you are asking how long Xbox LIVE Gold works after you change your Gamertag the answer is - until your subscription lapses.

If you mean how long after you change your gamertag, that should not make any difference. It will work as long as it does. If you mean how long will GOld continue to work, it will work until your sub expires.
