When I load up the game and go to multiplayer it says it couldn't log in or something and I chek to make sure I'm logged into xbox live and I am so what the crap is up with that.

This happens a lot with Battlefield: Bad Company. The servers were down, it probably works now, just keep trying when it happens again.
