Free kicks are definitely harder than Fifa 10. You really need a player with high free kick accuracy if you have a free kick from close range, high free kick power is essential from further out.

If you are 20-30 yards from goal, you should really power up about 2 bars. To add spin to the ball, you can use the left thumbstick as you are powering up and point it in the direction you want the ball to curve. If you have a right footed player, point the thumbstick towards the top left when powering up (opposite for left footers). When you are aiming, make sure you allow for the spin. This means you should aim a little further right if you are going to curve the ball left.

If you are 30-35 yards out, you can use the left bumper as you are powering up to create a driven shot. If your free kick is more towards the left side of the goal, I suggest you use a left footed player and try and aim slightly to the left of the wall and try and curl the ball towards goal (do the opposite for the right hand side). You will probably need at least 3 bars of power to test the goal keeper.

It takes a bit of practice, but you'll get there eventually.

thanks for the advice as all my free kicks were either straight at the keeper or miles over
