When you complete 'The Thing That Should Not Be' song using any instrument in Career mode 'Broken, Beat & Scarred', 'Cyanide' and 'My Apocalypse' songs will become available.
In Career mode collect the indicated amount of Stars to unlock the corresponding bonus instrument.
Unlock Mean Green Bass:
Get 25 Stars on bass.
Unlock Klown Bass:
Get 45 Stars on bass.
Complete the following tasks in the indicated Career mode to unlock the corresponding character.
Unlock James Hetfield:
Earn 100 stars in Vocalist Career mode
Unlock James Hetfield Classic:
Earn 150 stars in Vocalist Career mode
Unlock James Hetfield Zombie:
Earn 200 stars in Vocalist Career mode

At the 'Main' menu go to 'Cheats' and select the 'Enter New Cheat' option and enter the following codes using the Green, Red, Yellow and Blue coloured fret buttons to activate the corresponding feature at the menu. When a code has been entered correctly a confirmation message will will appear on the screen.

Air Instruments:

Auto Kick:
Press Yellow, Green, Red, Blue(4), Red. This feature automatically plays the bass pedal for the drummer. It has no effect Online and prevents achievements from being earned.
Always Slide:
Press Green(2), Red(2), Yellow, Red, Yellow, Blue. This feature turns ALL guitar notes (not chords) into touch pad sliding notes connected by purple lines. It has no effect Online and prevents achievements from being earned.
