Same problem with beating vegeta ape and golden ape baby. I just couldn't do the rapid press.So I took a vice grip and sawsall into my room. Cut the saws blade, wrapped it in tape ( so it wouldn't do damage to controller) and when time ame I used the forward back motion of the saw to press the correct button. Ridiculous it has to be done like this.

i have been so close to destroying my controller so many tmes playing this game due to rage..... ive been stuck on every big boss ive come across but the best advice is to play a different mode heck even different game and come back to it (currently im stuck on meta-cooler core where the tentacles come out and do mega damage)

i beated all of the story mode and hero mode i know you guys get trouble when you have to press something fast but here is a tip when you get to that part wait for a few mins or hold the left side of your controler with your left hand then try to press as fast as you can you can try them together
