Slasher hints and tips for Dead Space 2

Undoubtedly the most common enemy in this game. It's, for the most part, a melee enemy that needs to be within a very close range to do any good. It comes in several forms: Male, Female, Monk, and Enhanced. Male is strong and has longer arms. Female is a bit weaker, but can spit projectiles at you. Monk wears a robe, and tends to dash at you whenever it has a clear line. Then there's the deadliest yet, the Enhanced Slasher. This one is black and is very strong, very fast, and very hard to kill. Beware of this one.

Typical strategy to kill one of these is to take out a leg seeing as they're the most exposed, then cut off an exposed arm when it's on the ground. However, if you're a good aim and wanting to conserve ammo, take out both of the slasher's arms. This will kill it instantly.
