Introduction &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& This walkthrough is finally complete game/story wise. The directions in this guide are based off of the position of the camera. I try to be as specific as I can when possible or at least try to have you facing the correct direction to see what I am talking about. I am not specific with fighting because the game gives you plenty of directions on that subject. This walkthrough now covers getting all 9 life upgrades and 6 (Glove, Hockey Stick, Pink Flamingo, Teddy bear, Glowing green/yellow Sword and the "Water Sword") out of the 6 special weapons (The Water Sword is in the category even though it is not listed with the others because of having to do a specific task in order to get it). It also now covers unlocking 50 of the 50 artworks. You may want to use the Search Ctrl + F and search for whichever chapter/Save title (listed on the table of contents) you are at to find the section you need. I added to the FAQ section for this update and Yes, we have finally updated the artwork diagrams which show all 50 artworks corresponding with the numbering on the walkthrough itself. Please check the FAQ section near the bottom of this walkthrough before emailing and also only email us if you have the retail version (purchased from a store). For those with the non-retail, unfinished and/or copied version you should purchase the game if you want to complete it. I must warn you that we made a very large change to this walkthrough to correct a problem with the directions that seemed to have caused some people to run into a glitch with those directions (dahaka Hole glitch to be more exact). We never ran into this problem so it didn't seem like a problem to us. We have not had time to test how these changes might affect the game (as in cause other glitches) but we are assuming you should still be ok with these changes. If you are a new player just starting the game and using this guide we recommend when you reach the Optional Objective for Artwork #9 to do that one at your own risk and save perhaps before even attemtping it because we are not sure if the Dahaka hole glitch will get you or not from doing that Objective at that point in the game. If you were using our walkthrough previously or currently are using it the only biggest change we made was an Artwork numbering change. If you are trying to go for 100% completion (as in collecting everything first time through with this guide) I recommend that you may want to restart your game and follow this updated version of this guide (If you didn't get Artwork #40 with the previous version of this guide yet you will probably miss it using this version of the guide). Fight off the Minions attacking you with the various methods that the game gives you. I figure you can handle fighting off minions (I will only be giving you directions on where to go and some tips on the Mini/main bosses). 2. Once you have defeated all of them head to your left (the Prince's right) side of the screen/boat. Scene 3. Drink some water if you need to (with R1). Go straight into the room ahead and kill off the minions in here in the same way with a pillar you can use in this fight to your advantage. You can also just avoid them and continue on. 4. Once you have defeated them leave through the other door in this room. 5. Drink more water if you need to (ewww salty water). Follow this hallway past the water spraying in through the side of the ship. Scene 6. You now need to take care of a few more minions here or just avoid them and make your way down the burning left side of the ship. Scene 7. "Boss Battle: "Woman in Black (Shahdee)" This battle seems tougher then what it actually is. All you need to do is hold the block button (R1) to block all of her attacks. After she does a upward thrust with her swords she will do a single slash attack. She will pause for a moment after that single slash move. This is your time to attack and slash her a few times. After you slash her two or three times go back to blocking her attacks. Wait for the single slash attack after the upwards thrust attack and then slash her again when she pauses. Keep this up until her health bar (at the bottom of the screen) is almost 1/3rd gone. You don't have to only attack her after she does the single slash attack you can attack her anytime she pauses for a moment. It just seems she is more vulnerable after the single slash attack. If you see her block your attack quickly push block because right after she blocks your attack she will hit you. Scene Keep up the same strategy of blocking and attacking her when she pauses. It will eventually show a close up view of both of them. When it does that quickly push Square button until you repel her away from you. Keep pushing square after you push her away to get in a few slashes. Keep up the same blocking and attacking when she pause until you get her down to 2/3rd 's of her health bar. If you really want this fight to go by fast use the five slash combo. Once you hit her three times in a row with your sword jump at and over her and slash her when you are coming down behind her for an extra two slashes on her. Doing this move often will make this fight go by very fast. The five hit combo seems to only work best when you have hit three times in a row first because she pauses long enough for you to jump at and over her. You can use this on her when you fight her again later. We decided we would add the rough percentage of the game you have now completed so far. This is not exact as the game does not tell but this will at least tell you how far you are into the game. We based the numbers off of how many chapters/save names and by how long we felt each one roughly took.) ########################### # Area: Beach - (Present) # ########################### Objective 1: Reach The Fortress Entrance (Present) (Note: I won't be giving the instructions that the game gives you for controls. I figure you can read those on your own. I will only be mentioning the ones that I feel need to be mentioned. I will be mentioning some as I start this walkthrough and slowly stop mentioning it because I figure you will have learned or know the controls by then) 1. Fight off the birds that start attacking you on this beach and then go drink some water where the waterfall is at (The waterfall is straight ahead if you are facing your back to the wrecked ship you started near). You can also drink water from the ocean (shouldn't that be hurtful/harmful water? ewww salty water!!!) 2. Head over to the stairs on the far left side of this beach (to the far left when you are facing your back to the ship you started at). Smash open the chest on the left side of the stairs to unlock Artwork #1 (Ship). Go up the stairs and follow it to the right. Jump across the gap you come to and then climb up on the ledge up ahead. Go up the staircase here and jump across this bigger gap. To your left you will see a Fountain. Use the Fountain (R1 when near it) to save your game and regain health if you lost any. 3. Go over to the ledge to the right of the fountain (when you are facing the fountain). Jump up onto the ledge and pull yourself up (X). Move along these rocks to your right until you reach a rock in your way. Drop down to hang on the ledge (Circle) and shimmy to the right to get past the rock. Pull yourself back up (X) and then follow the path to your right. Jump across the gap you find here and you should see a ledge to climb up to the Prince's Left. Sidestep left along this ledge to the end of it. Hold left and jump over the gap to then ledge to your left. 4. Sidestep to the right and climb up onto the ledge above you. Sidestep right and go up the stairs you find here. Run up the wall (towards wall + R1) and climb up onto the top of the wall. Drop down to the stairs and drop off the right side of the stairs onto a ledge. Run along the wall here to the Prince's Left (Along the wall + R1) to get to the next ledge and then follow this ledge around to the right to where some columns/pillars are. Jump onto the lowest column and facing your back to the closest column/pillar. Jump to that pillar (X) and face your back again to the next column/pillar. Jump to that column/pillar and then jump again to climb up onto the ledge behind the Prince. Smash open the chest to the Prince's right to unlock Artwork #2 (Evil Crow). Follow the ledge to the Prince's left and roll (forward + X) into the small hole at the bottom of the doorway on your right. 5. You will need to fight or avoid two minions here and once you have defeated/avoided them take (circle) one of their weapons that they drop. This way you can either use the two weapons to fight with or you can throw (circle) the weapon you pick up at some future minion. Climb up the ledge they were guarding and go up the stairs. You will need to run along the wall here (Along the wall + R1) to get on the ledge in the distance. Climb up onto the nest ledge and you will need to wall run along the wall to your right. Near the end of your wall run you will need to jump towards your left to land on a ledge. Fight or avoid the minions here and go through the big doors. they are guarding. Climb up the ledge up ahead and follow the stairs to your right. You should see a gate up ahead. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 02: "The Ruined Fortress" (8%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ ####################################### # Area: Fortress Entrance - (Present) # ####################################### Objective 2: Reach The Fortress Entrance (Present) 1. Climb up onto the little ledge to the left of the gate and wall run up the wall (towards the wall + R1). Climb up and drop down onto the other side of the gate. Go through the big doors up ahead. Scene You have now received the Spider Sword 2. Fight or avoid the minions here and head back towards the gate you climbed over a moment ago. Look to your left when you get to the gate and you will see an open doorway. Follow this path through the doorway to your left and use the fountain to your left to heal or save. 3. Jump or wall run across the gap to your right and then jump across the gap to the Prince's right. Go out of the doorway to your left. Scene 4. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster" This guy is very easy just run towards him and while going towards him when you are next to him push X. This should cause you to jump over him. start slashing him as you are coming down on the other side of him. When he blocks your attack just jump over him again and slash him more keep doing this until he eventually turns back into a few crows. Scene 5. Head back towards the door you came out of and wall run up the wall to climb up onto the ledge to the left of the door. Now a bit trickier of a move Run up the wall to your left and before the prince does a back flip you need to jump to the ledge to your right. Continue to your right and wall run on this wall to your left. When you reach the moss on the wall jump to your right to grab the column/pillar. Face the Prince's back to the next column/pillar to your right and jump to it. Face your back to the ledge that the Spooky Crow is on and Jump to that ledge. 6. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Second Time)" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him again until he turns into a few crows again. Try to keep him away from the walls otherwise you will have a harder time attacking him. Scene 7. Go to your right (your back should be facing towards the columns/pillars you came from) and wall run along the wall over the doorway to the next ledge across the way. Wall run back the way you came and you should grab a narrow ledge above the ledge you came from. Climb up on it and climb up onto the next narrow ledge above it. Jump to your right to the column/pillar and face your back to the ledge to the right to jump to it. 8. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Third Time)" Try to keep him away from the walls otherwise you will have a harder time attacking him. Do the same as you did previously until you finally defeat him. 9. Wall run up to the button on the wall to the right and go into the gate that opened up. Scene Note: If you have the Crowmasters sword you can make quick work of the minions in this next room attack them with secondary attack (with triangle) 10. Wall run to the curtain to your right and it will automatically slide you down it when you touch it. Fight or avoid the minions here. Face the wall that you came down and climb up onto the stone slab behind you. Run up the pillar to your left and then shimmy left. Climb up onto the ledge you reach. Follow this walkway straight and then to the right. Wall run along the wall to your left over the doorway and you should land on a narrow ledge. Drop down (Circle) and shimmy to your left. When you reach the end drop down (Circle) twice. Follow the walkway behind you and wall run along the wall to the right to get over the gap. Go through the doorway up ahead and go to your left. Be sure you have collected all the Artwork and picked up all the weapons you could to add to your weapons gallery before continuing on because you don't want to come back through this portal again (I say this mainly because I have noticed that the game tends to get kind of glitchy when you go back through a portal that you really didn't need to go back through). Follow this path through a doorway of water. Use the fountain in this room to heal/save and then go farther into the room. Scene ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 03: "First Steps in the Past" (12%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ #################################### # Area: Fortress Entrance - (Past) # #################################### You now have the Recall Power. For those that are unsure what it does. It rewinds time to help you incase you make a mistake, error, to redo a jump or simply to just redo something that might have caused damage that you could have easily avoided. (Note: DO NOT go back through this or any sand portals that you have just used before this seems to cause a sand portal glitch near the very end of the game which will save with your game during the course of the game (the only exception to this rule is for the one you have to when you are getting the "Pink Flamingo" Weapon). I don't know if it is. I mention this because the only time I ran into the sand portal glitch was backtracking through the same portal I used previously. I made this walkthrough without backtracking through any of the sand portals I used previously and did NOT run into the glitch (with the exception I mentioned a moment ago). So as a precaution be sure to avoid going back through a sand portal you just used (even if by accident) and follow this walkthrough and you should hopefully not run into many of the glitches others run into. You still may run into some but this should help you avoid many of them. There are probably other factors for these glitches but at least if you avoid what you aren't suppose to do in the first place it should keep you fairly safe. We know this from experience after making the Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy game walkthrough that had quite a few major game stopping glitches as well.) Objective 2: Chase the Girl in Black (Past) Secondary Objective: Retrieve Life Upgrade #1 1. You now want to follow the woman in black out the doorway of water. Follow this path straight and to your left will be a few spinning poles with very sharp edges on them. Avoid them and continue to the right. When you reach the gap up ahead you will need to wall run on either wall and time it just right to avoid the saw blades. 2. Avoid or Fight the minion once you reach the other side of the gap and then continue down this hallway and into the doorway. Scene 3. Fight or avoid the Minions in this room. Climb up the column/pillar to your left. Face the Prince's back to the pillar to your right and jump to it. Shimmy to your left and climb up. Smash open the box to unlock Artwork #3 (Fortress Entrance). Follow this walkway to your left and wall run along the wall on your right. You should grab on to a narrow ledge at the end of your wall run (you need to be hanging from it). Shimmy left along this ledge to the other side and climb back up. Jump to your left and follow the walkway here to your left. Wall run along the wall that you come to and you will activate a button. Keep doing the wall run until you slide down the curtain. Quickly go into the door you just opened to your left by activating that button. 4. Go down the stairs in this room and towards the doorway up ahead. Before you go into that doorway wall run up the wall to your left. Climb up onto the ledge. Wall run up the wall to the left and jump to the ledge to your right at the peak of your wall run. Wall run along the wall to your left to get to the ledge that you can see the minions on in the distance. Fight the minions here and then once they are gone go to the left side of the bottom part of the stairs. You should find a button here behind some barrels. break the barrels and step on the button. Quickly make your way up the stairs (Jump up to the railing to the right of the button you stepped on and climb over it to get onto the stairs faster) and roll up the stairs quickly. Roll into the small gap at the bottom of the wall to the right of the button on the upper part of the wall. 5. Wall run along the wall to your right to avoid the first two traps (just time it right to make sure the pounding block doesn't get you). Wall run twice the same way to avoid the next few traps. Wall run along the right wall and jump to your left right before you reach the end of this wall. Quickly move forward to avoid being hit by the spikes that come out of the ground. You should see a red symbol on the wall from here to your right. Wall run along the wall on your left to avoid the blades and go over to where that red symbol on the wall is at. Scene You now have Life Upgrade #1 (If you were low on health before getting this your health will fully recover). 6. Go back the way you came without the worries of traps because they are now deactivated. Run up the wall to your left near the metal grating to open it and roll out of through that opening. Walk along the walkway to the right of the stairs and you should see some barrels near a pillar. Break them and then smash open the chest to unlock Artwork #4. Go back to the metal grating and run up the wall to the left of it to use the button here. Quickly go through the doorway behind you. You should recognize this room because you were in here a bit earlier. Wall run along the wall to the Prince's left and slide down the curtain. Go to the opposite corner of the room and climb up the pillar you climbed up earlier. Face the Prince's back to the pillar to your right and jump to it. Shimmy to your left and climb up. Follow this walkway to your left and wall run along the wall on your right. You should grab on to a narrow ledge at the end of your wall run (you need to be hanging from it). Shimmy left along this ledge to the other side and climb back up. Jump to your left and follow the walkway here to your left. Wall run along the wall that you come to and you will activate a button. Keep doing the wall run until you slide down the curtain. Quickly go out the door again you just opened to your left by activating that button. 7. Go down the stairs and head into the doorway straight ahead. Avoid the two spinning poles in front of you and then roll under the spinning pole to your right. To the prince's Left you should see some spinning poles. Wait for the correct timing when the two poles are spread far apart and quickly go between them. Use the Fountain to heal/save your game and then continue on down this hallway. Scene 8. You now have 2 Shadow minions to deal with up ahead. Deal with them the same way you dealt with the Crowmaster or if you have a secondary weapon throw it at them and it will be instant death if you hit one. Use block to avoid being hit by projectiles that they throw. Once you have dealt with them go up the long staircase. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 04: "The Fortress Rebuilt" (16%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ ############################### # Area: Central Hall - (Past) # ############################### 1. Fight or avoid the Minions at the top of the stairs and follow the hallway to the left through the doorway up ahead. Wall run to avoid the blade at the top of the stairs and jump across the gap ahead to land on a narrow ledge. Climb up (X) to the highest narrow ledge that you can and then shimmy to the right. Drop down to the lowest narrow ledge at the end and jump to the ledge to your right. Fight or avoid the minion here and then wall run past the blade traps. Continue down this hallway and out of the door at the end of this hallway. Scene 2. Fight or avoid the minions in this large room and climb up the 3 rock ledges on your left (Use the fountain to heal/save your game on the far side of the room if you need it before climbing up those ledges). 3. Jump to the column/pillar to your left and then face the Prince's back to the column/pillar to the Prince's right before jumping to it. Face the Prince's back to the column/pillar to the Prince's left and jump to that one. Face the Prince's back to the lower rock ledge near it and jump to it. Run up the wall (R1) to your right to get up onto the higher ledge. Wall run along the wall to the Prince's left and jump to the balcony you can see in the distance to the right. Once you are on the balcony, watch out for the minion that will more then likely charge at you. 4. Go down the hallway he was guarding and avoid the spinning pole to your left while jumping across the gap. Avoid the next spinning pole and jump across the next gap. Go down the ladder you find here and drop down at the bottom of it. Time your wall run over this next gap using either wall to avoid being hit by the spinning poles going up and down over the center of the gap. Get onto the ladder that you find and you will see some spinning poles here. Slide down the ladder by holding down at the correct time to avoid being hit by them. When you reach the bottom of the ladder jump towards the wall directly behind you. You should land on a narrow ledge here. Sidestep right and when you reach the middle of the narrow ledge on your right jump to the ladder behind you (to your left). Go down this ladder to the bottom and Fight or avoid the minions here. ################################### # Area: Southern Passage - (Past) # ################################### 1. Quickly make your way down this hallway to avoid becoming a pin cushion and use the fountain to your left to heal/save your game. Continue down this hallway timing it just right to quickly go down this hallway avoiding the spikes that come out of the ground and roll under the spinning pole. Turn to your left and make your way past the spinning poles here along the right side when the spinning pole on your right is closest to you. Go out the doorway at the end of this hallway. Scene 2. Fight or avoid the minions here and you should see on the far side of this room a pole over a platform on the right along this walkway you are on. Before you jump to that pole look to your left and you need to jump across the gap on the far side of the room or wall run along the wall to the left of the doorway that the woman went into. Smash open the chest that is found here to Unlock Artwork #5. Now jump back across or wall run back across and go jump up and grab the pole. Swing on the pole (R1) towards the pole that is higher up to your left. Jump to that pole when the prince is swinging towards it and then shimmy to your right along this pole. Face your back towards the ledge you see to your right with the minion on it. Face towards that ledge and swing/jump towards it. Climb up and fight or avoid the minion here. 3. Walk along this narrow beam to your right. When you reach the balcony on the other side you will see a pole above the balcony on the left. Jump up onto that pole and swing towards the pole to your left. Jump to that pole and then jump to the wall to your left. Jump off the wall to grab the beam to your right. Climb up onto the beam and jump to the balcony on your right. Jump over and hang on the railing on the right side of this balcony and the camera view should change. Jump to the beam on your left. Follow this beam around to another balcony and jump to that balcony. Hang off the right side of the balcony here and jump to the curtain to your right. Before you reach the bottom of the curtain quickly jump to your left to another balcony. Scene 4. Walk along the beam that the minion is on and slash her at the correct jump before she strikes and then slash her once to kill her (if you still have a secondary weapon you can just throw it at her before going out onto the beam). When you reach the next balcony you will see a beam to your right. Jump up to grab it and climb up onto it. Jump to the beam to your left and then climb up onto that one. Jump off the wall to your left and then you should grab the higher up beam to your right. Climb up onto that beam and jump to the balcony to your right. Fight the minions here and you should see a metal gate with a block behind it. Remember where this is as you will need it later on. For now hang off the railing on the right side of this balcony and jump to the beam to your left (you will have another minion on this beam to deal with). Follow this beam to the right and jump to the balcony to the right. Smash open the Chest here to unlock Artwork #6. Get back onto the beam you were on previously and go over to where the pole is that it showed you when you first entered this room and jump up and grab it. This will open the door down below. Go down the stairs in this hallway and hang off the edge at the end of the stairs. Drop down when you are above the curtain to slide down the curtain. Before you reach the bottom of the curtain jump to your right. Walk along this beam to the left (near the wall) and jump to the beam to your right. Now jump to the beam to your right and then to the beam to your left. Jump to the hallway up ahead and move quickly to avoid the spikes coming out of the floor. Use the Fountain that you find around the corner to the left. Continue down this hallway and out the doorway at the end of it. Scene (If you watch closely you will notice there is a chest near the doorway you enter that you will be getting later on.) 2. "Boss Battle: "Woman in Black (Shahdee)" Go up to her and hit her a few times while she is distracted with stomping on the hands of the unknown woman. Use the same strategy as you did before when facing her. There are two big differences here from the previous fight because she now kicks you clear across the room and you will want to avoid being kicked into the pit and second she seems to get distracted when stomping on the unknown woman's hands. Try to keep her away from the Unknown woman otherwise she will eventually make her fall and you will get the game over screen. Just avoid her kicks as best you can and slash her every chance you get. She will sometimes do the powerful kick right after you hit her with a few slashes. Just back flip away from her while blocking to avoid the powerful kick. When you get her 1/3rd of the way down on her health bar it should show a close up of them. Quickly press square to push her off and then slash her a few times. Go back to the same strategy again of blocking and then slashing her when she pauses before back flipping away from her to avoid her kick. If you can get her on the far side of this platform and back away from her she will sometimes start to ignore you and walk back towards the unknown woman. When she does this attack her to get a few cheap shots on her. You will get another close up of them half way through her life bar just rapidly push square to push her away. You will get one more close up when you reach half of half of the life bar. Just keep up the strategy until she is defeated. I do recommend when facing her to always be backing up when you can/are not attacking her. this will also help you avoid being hit by that powerful kick. You can also pull off a five hit combo again if you are good enough at this time with your buttons. After you slash her three times with your sword jump at and over her (the same way you do the Crowmaster) and slash her two more times. That way only seems to work best if you get all three slashes in because she pauses long enough to jump over her. If you are real good you can get up to seven hit combo on her before she blocks. Also, if you happen to need more sand to fill up your sand tanks smash the little pots that are laying around. Some of those usually have sand to refill your tanks with. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 06: "Fate's Dark Hand" (24%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Scene Objective 3: Reach The Hourglass Chamber (Past) Secondary Objective: Retrieve Life Upgrade #2 1. Head for the Statue at the top of the stairs behind you. Pull (R1) the statue towards the stairs. This will open up a door behind the statue. Go into that doorway and down the stairs to the right. To your right you will need to move quickly through this hallway to avoid the spikes coming out of the floor and avoid the spinning poles. As you turn the next corner you will see a spinning pole going up and down. Run at the correct time to avoid the spikes coming out of the floor and then roll under the spinning pole (I recommend that you run along side of one of the walls and right after you roll under the spinning pole do a wall run to avoid the blades trap). Wall run along the left wall of the gap to your right at the correct time to avoid the spinning saw blade and when you turn the next corner near the blade trap you will see the red symbol on the wall in the distance. Run towards the red Symbol at the correct time to avoid the spikes that come out of the floor and then roll under the spinning poles. Go over to the Red symbol on the wall. Scene You now have Life Upgrade #2. 2. Go back out the way you came now that the traps are deactivated. Go back out to where the statue is and smash open the Chest near to the left of the stairs to unlock Artwork #7. Go down the stairs in front of it. Climb up on the rock ledge to your left and then up onto the ledge to your right. Jump to the narrow ledge to your left and sidestep to your right. You need to jump to the pole you see to your right and swing/jump from this pole to the narrow ledge above the one you were on. Sidestep to the Prince's left and then jump to the pole you see to your left. Swing/jump to the wall to your left and jump off that wall to the pole that is above the one you were swinging on. Turn yourself to face the wall to your left and swing/jump to the ledge you see at the top of that wall on the left. Climb up and run up the wall to grab the rope. Swing on the rope (R1) and release when you are near the beam you see up ahead to grab/land on it. Jump to the balcony near you and use the fountain you find here. 3. Facing the fountain go towards the broken walkway directly behind you. Hang off the edge and drop down to the little broken beam below you. Jump to the broken beam to your right and follow the narrow ledge in front of you to the right. Walk all the way out onto that narrow ledge to your right and jump to the Prince's left and you should grab onto a narrow ledge near the wall. Sidestep left until your back is facing the pole to your left. Jump to the pole on your left and swing/jump to the narrow ledge to your left. Walk over to the narrow ledge that you can see higher up on the wall to your right and climb up onto it. Jump up and grab the hole above you and shimmy to your right. 4. Climb up and then climb up onto the rocks on this balcony. Run up the wall to grab the rope higher up on the wall. Climb all the way up this rope and then jump to the pole/lever you can see directly behind the Prince. This will shut the shutters that are near the rope. Jump back to the rope and slide down the rope. Drop off the rope and wall run to the Prince's right to get to the next balcony that those shutters were blocking. Run up the wall on this balcony to grab the rope. Swing on the rope and wall run towards the balcony up ahead. Go in the doorway to your right (If you are wondering what is the point of the button on the wall I will tell you in a moment). Once you go into the middle of the room the female minions will start dropping from the ceiling. You can fight, avoid them or use that button outside for them. Lead them towards the wall with the button on it and when they are over the holes of the spiked floor run up the wall and hit the button this will raise the spikes to kill them instantly. It is up to you on how you want to deal with them. You need to run up the wall on the right and grab the narrow ledge here to continue on. Jump up and climb up the next narrow ledge. Jump to the pole to your right and use that pole to swing/jump to the pole to your right. Turn yourself to face the higher pole to your left and swing/jump to that pole. Swing/jump to the hallway/ledge to your left and quickly run across this floor to avoid the spikes coming out of the floor. Run up the wall in front of you to grab a narrow ledge. Jump up and climb up the narrow ledge above you. Jump to the pole directly behind the Prince and then swing/jump onto the wall that you just came from to jump off it to get up onto the higher pole above you. Face yourself towards the wall you came from and do another swing/jump to the narrow ledge where the spinning pole is above. Shimmy to the Prince's right and when you reach the end of this narrow ledge wait for the spinning pole to be going away from you before you pull yourself up. Jump to the ledge to your right and then sidestep to safety to the Prince's right. 5. Follow this hallway here and when you turn the corner you will need to wall run along the wall to the right while avoiding the saw blade to grab the rope. You don't want to swing on this rope just let it become still and then jump to the rope to your left. Swing on this rope and wall run to the hallway/ledge when the saw blade isn't in your way up ahead. Go around the corner to your left and you will see a four spinning pole trap. Go between the middle ones to avoid getting hit when getting by them. Go into the doorway of water. Use the fountain here to heal/save your game. 6. Run up the walls that have the buttons on them you may notice that some light up and others only flash. You need to push them in a specific order. If the button stays lit that means you hit the right one. If the button only flashes that means you hit the wrong one and will unlight any buttons you may have lit up. Try various combinations until you have lit up all of the buttons. Go over to the sand portal to use it. These are random and that is why I don't have an easier answer for them. Scene You now have the Eye of the Storm power (it slows things down around you). ###################################### # Area: Southern Passage - (Present) # ###################################### 1. Leave the Sand Portal room through the doorway of water and run past the spiked floor and spinning poles. Climb up the little ledge just past them and jump towards the wall under the little window in front of you. You should land/grab the narrow ledge here. Sidestep (or shimmy if your hanging) left and drop down to a rectangular ledge. Jump to the ledge that you can see to your right from here and then jump down to the lower ledge on your right. Hang off the edge and drop down to the narrow ledge. From that narrow ledge drop down to the floor below. Go out through the opening to your right Break open the pots here if you need sand for the sand tanks. Push the button you see on the floor and then tap L1 to slow down time. Quickly run and roll into the doorway that is slowly closing at the far side of this room. After you have gone through the door Fight or avoid the minions here and then drop into the hole up ahead. Scene 2. Facing the Prince's back to the place you just came down from and Wall run along that wall you see to your right to grab onto the wooden beam. Climb up onto it and jump to the next wooden beam directly ahead of you. Walk along this beam to the left and jump to the rope that is on the wall near you. Swing on this rope and wall run from it to reach the pole you can see in the distance to the left. Swing/jump to the next pole and from that pole swing/jump to the ledge to your left. Walk out onto the beam that is sticking out on this ledge and jump straight to grab onto a beam. climb up on it and walk along it towards the pillar to the left. Jump to the pillar to grab the crack in it and shimmy to your left. Jump to the curtain and slide down it. Before you reach the bottom of the curtain jump backwards to land on a beam. Walk to the right along this beam and then up and jump straight to the pole you can see in the distance. Shimmy down and right and then swing/jump to the ledge you can see in front of you. Jump to the lower ledge to your left and go left. Fight or Avoid the Minions here and make your way to the far side of this ledge. Climb up on the higher ledge to your right when you reach a door that is blocked by rubble. You should see a pillar to your right and the wall on your left. Run up the wall or the pillar and jump before you do the back flip. You need to jump back and forth between the pillar and wall until you reach a open space in the pillar that you will hang from. Jump to the opening in the wall to your left and then jump to the pillar and continue to wall jump between the pillar and wall to the higher opening on the pillar. Shimmy to the Prince's left until he goes around the corner of the pillar. Jump to the beam that you can see to your right near the opening that the Dahaka made. Climb up on the beam (if you are hanging from it) and jump to the narrow ledge below the hole that the Dahaka made. Jump and climb up through the hole that the Dahaka made and use the fountain to heal/save your game. Follow the hallway to your right and jump the gap up ahead to go outside. Scene 3. Boss Chase: "Dahaka Chase #1" Quickly run straight because the floor is collapsing behind you. Run around the corner to the left and do a wall run on the wall to your left to get past the gap. Quickly go straight again and jump to the pole sticking out of the wall on your right. Swing/Jump quickly from this pole to the poles to your right because the poles fall if you are on them too long. Jump to the ledge on the right from the last pole. Scene 4. Head straight and smash the barrels blocking your way. Go to your right and up the stairs. Turn right at the top of the stairs and fight or avoid the minion here. Just walk straight off the ledge it was guarding and wall run along the wall to your left. Jump to the column/pillar while doing your wall run right before you reach the brown area on the wall. Climb up the column/pillar and then jump to the ledge you can see from here. Go into the doorway on this ledge. Scene ####################################### # Area: Fortress Entrance - (Present) # ####################################### 5. Wall run on the wall to your right until you slide down the curtain. You should remember how to go through this room you land in. If not face the wall that you came down and climb up onto the stone slab behind you. Run up the pillar to your left and then shimmy left. Climb up onto the ledge you reach. Follow this walkway straight and then to the right. Wall run along the wall to your left over the doorway and you should land on a narrow ledge. Drop down (Circle) and shimmy to your left. When you reach the end drop down (Circle) twice. 6. Boss Chase: "Dahaka Chase #2" Quickly follow the walkway behind you and wall run along the wall on the right to get over the gap. Go towards the end of this hallway. Scene ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 07: "A Helping Hand" (28%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ 7. Go over to the sand portal to use it. #################################### # Area: Fortress Entrance - (Past) # #################################### 1. Use the fountain here and then leave this room through the doorway of water. Follow this path straight and to your left will be a few spinning poles. Avoid them and continue to the right. When you reach the gap up ahead you will need to wall run on either wall and time it just right to avoid the saw blades. Continue down this hall and through the doorway. Scene (If you go over to the grating that you saw the creature at you can see another Chest you will be getting later on) 2. Climb up the column/pillar to your left. Face the Prince's back to the pillar to your right and jump to it. Shimmy to your left and climb up. Follow this walkway to your left and wall run along the wall on your right. You should grab on to a narrow ledge at the end of your wall run (you need to be hanging from it). Shimmy left along this ledge to the other side and climb back up. Jump to your left and follow the walkway here to your left. Wall run along the wall that you come to and you will activate a button. Keep doing the wall run until you slide down the curtain. Quickly go into the door you just opened to your left by activating that button. 3. Go down the stairs and head into the doorway straight ahead. Avoid the two spinning poles in front of you and then roll under the spinning pole to your right. To the prince's Left you should see some spinning poles. Wait for the correct timing when the two poles are spread far apart and quickly go between them. Use the Fountain to heal/save your game and then continue on down this hallway. 4. Go up the long staircase and fight or avoid the minions at the top of the stairs. Follow the hallway to the left through the doorway up ahead. Wall run to avoid the blade at the top of the stairs and jump across the gap ahead to land on a narrow ledge. Climb up (X) to the highest narrow ledge that you can and then shimmy to the right. Drop down to the lowest narrow ledge at the end and jump to the ledge to your right. Wall run past the blade traps that are here. Continue down this hallway and out of the door at the end of this hallway. ############################### # Area: Central Hall - (Past) # ############################### Scene 1. Jump over the gap on the far side of this big room and use the fountain to heal/save your game. Go up the stairs it showed you right near the fountain. #################################### # Area: Hourglass Chamber - (Past) # #################################### 1. After you turn the next corner you will need to time your rolls just right to get past the spinning poles here and then a blade trap at the top of the stairs. When you turn the corner to the right you will see two spinning poles going up and down here. You need to time your wall run for when they are farthest apart to get by them and over the gap. Roll past the blade trap at the bottom of the stairs up ahead or just avoid it up to you. When you reach the top of the stairs you will need to wall run on the wall to your left when the bottom spinning pole is going away from you. Near the end of your wall run jump to the right to grab the ledge the bottom spinning pole is guarding. Quickly climb up to the higher ledge above you and sidestep to the Prince's left as close to the upper spinning pole as you can without getting hit by it. When you see the bottom pole passed you to the Prince's right quickly drop down and shimmy to the Prince's left until you are safe. Drop down and wall run past the first blade trap. Roll past or avoid the next blade trap and go up the stairs to your right. Roll past the blade trap at the top of the stairs and then climb up the ladder you see here leaning against the wall. Jump to the lever to your right and use your slow time power (tap L1). Quickly go through the door that is closing. If you don't have sand left you can still make it through the closing door just roll right before it is closed. Use the fountain here to heal/save your game and then take notice of the circle on the floor. This circle tells you how many life upgrades you have. You should have two lit up at this time. Go towards that circle on the floor. Point the Handle away from the Fountain (S on the Diagram above it should be facing that way already). Climb up the 3 rock ledges near you and jump to the column/pillar to your left. Face the Prince's back to the column/pillar to your left before jumping to it. Face the Prince's back to the column/pillar to the Prince's left and jump to that one. Face the Prince's back to the lower rock ledge near it and jump to it. Run up the wall to your right to get up onto the higher ledge. Wall run along the wall to the Prince's left and jump to the balcony you can see in the distance to the right. Once you are on the balcony watch out for the minion that will more then likely charge at you. Go down the hallway he was guarding and avoid the spinning pole to your left while jumping across the gap. Avoid the next spinning pole and jump across the next gap. Go down the ladder you find here and drop down at the bottom of it. Time your wall run over this next gap using either wall to avoid being hit by the spinning poles going up and down over the center of the gap. Get onto the ladder that you find and you will see some spinning poles here. Slide down the ladder by holding down at the correct time to avoid being hit by them. When you reach the bottom of the ladder jump towards the wall directly behind you. You should land on a narrow ledge here. Sidestep right and when you reach the middle of the narrow ledge on your right jump to the ladder behind you (to your left). Go down this ladder to the bottom and Fight or avoid the minions here. ################################### # Area: Southern Passage - (Past) # ################################### B. Make your way past the traps here in this hallway and go out of the doorway at the end of this hallway. C. Fight or avoid the minions here and you should see on the far side of this room a pole over a platform on the right along this walkway you are on. Face towards that ledge and Swing/Jump towards it Climb up on it and fight or avoid the minion here. Walk along this narrow beam to your right. Before you reach the bottom of the curtain quickly jump to your left to another balcony. Walk along the beam that the minion was on when you were here the first time and cross over to the next balcony. When you reach the next balcony you will see a beam to your right. Jump up to grab it and climb up onto it. Jump to the beam to your left and then climb up onto that one. Jump off the wall to your left and then you should grab the higher up beam to your right. Climb up onto that beam and jump to the balcony to your right. Fight the minions here and you should see a metal gate with a block behind it (you will need to come back here to use this block later for Life upgrade #9). D. Face away from that block behind the bars and hang off the railing of the balcony in front of you. Shimmy to the Prince's left all the way and you need to jump to the beam that leads to the pole switch. When you are standing on the small beam that is facing the curtain jump to the curtain and go into the door you land in front of. Make your way past the traps like you did before. Use the fountain you find if you want or else just go out of the doorway to the right of the fountain (if you are facing the fountain). #################################### # Area: Sacrificial Altar - (Past) # #################################### E. Smash open the chest to the Prince's right to unlock Artwork #9. You should be facing the front of the chest right now. Climb up on the 2 rock ledges to your right and wall run along the wall on the left. You will grab a narrow ledge when you run into the pillar. Climb up on the narrow ledge above you and then climb up onto the next narrow ledge above you. Sidestep right until your on the other side of this pillar and then jump to the narrow ledge on the side of the pillar to your right. Sidestep right around the corner of this pillar and then jump to the platform that you fought Shahdee (the woman in black) on. Climb up the rock ledge in front of you. Jump to the narrow ledge on the pillar in front of you and sidestep to your right. You need to jump to the pole you see to your right and swing/jump from this pole to the narrow ledge above the one you were on. Sidestep to the Prince's left and then jump to the pole you see to your left. Swing/jump to the wall to your left and jump off that wall to the pole that is above the one you were swinging on. Turn yourself to face the wall to your left and swing/jump to the ledge you see at the top of that wall on the left. Climb up and run up the wall to grab the rope. Swing on the rope and release when you are near the beam you see up ahead to grab/land on it. Jump to the balcony near you and use the fountain you find here if you want. Facing the fountain go towards the broken walkway directly behind you. Hang off the edge and drop down to the little broken beam below you. Jump to the broken beam to your right and follow the narrow ledge in front of you to the right. Walk all the way out onto that narrow ledge to your right and jump to the Prince's left and you should grab onto a narrow ledge near the wall. Sidestep left until your back is facing the pole to your left. Jump to the pole on your left and swing/jump to the narrow ledge to your left. Walk over to the narrow ledge that you can see higher up on the wall to your right and climb up onto it. Jump up and grab the hole above you and shimmy to your right. Climb up and then climb up onto the rocks on this balcony. Run up the wall to grab the rope higher up on the wall. Climb all the way up this rope and then jump to the pole/lever you can see directly behind the Prince. This will shut the shutters that are near the rope. Jump back to the rope and slide down the rope. Drop off the rope and wall run to the Prince's right to get to the next balcony that those shutters were blocking. Run up the wall on this balcony to grab the rope. Swing on the rope and wall run towards the balcony up ahead. Go in the doorway to your right. You need to run up the wall on the right and grab the narrow ledge here to continue on. Jump up and climb up the next narrow ledge. Jump to the pole to your right and use that pole to swing/jump to the pole to your right. Turn yourself to face the higher pole to your left and swing/jump to that pole. Swing/jump to the hallway/ledge to your left and quickly run across this floor to avoid the spikes coming out of the floor. Run up the wall in front of you to grab a narrow ledge. Jump up and climb up the narrow ledge above you. Jump to the pole directly behind the Prince and then swing/jump onto the wall that you just came from to jump off it to get up onto the higher pole above you. Face yourself towards the wall you came from and do another swing/jump to the narrow ledge where the spinning pole is above. Shimmy to the Prince's right and when you reach the end of this narrow ledge wait for the spinning pole to be going away from you before you pull yourself up. Jump to the ledge to your right and then sidestep to safety to the Prince's right. Follow this hallway here and when you turn the corner you will need to wall run along the wall to the right while avoiding the saw blade to grab the rope. You don't want to swing on this rope just let it become still and then jump to the rope to your left. Swing on this rope and wall run to the hallway/ledge when the saw blade isn't in your way up ahead. Go around the corner to your left and you will see a four spinning pole trap. Go between the middle ones to avoid getting hit when getting by them. Go into the doorway of water. Use the Sand Portal that is here. ###################################### # Area: Southern Passage - (Present) # ###################################### F. Leave the Sand Portal room through the doorway of water and run past the spiked floor and spinning poles. Climb up the little ledge just past them and jump towards the wall under the little window in front of you. You should land/grab the narrow ledge here. Sidestep (or shimmy if your hanging) left and drop down to a rectangular ledge. Jump to the ledge that you can see to your right from here and then jump down to the lower ledge on your right. Hang off the edge and drop down to the narrow ledge. From that narrow ledge drop down to the floor below. Go out through the opening to your right Break open the pots here if you need sand for the sand tanks. Push the button you see on the floor and then tap L1 to slow down time. Quickly run and roll into the doorway that is slowly closing at the far side of this room. After you have gone through the door Fight or avoid the minions here and then drop into the hole up ahead. Facing the Prince's back to the place you just came down from and Wall run along that wall you see to your right to grab onto the wooden beam. Climb up onto it and jump to the next wooden beam directly ahead of you. Walk along this beam to the left and jump to the rope that is on the wall near you. Swing on this rope and wall run from it to reach the pole you can see in the distance to the left. Swing/jump to the next pole and from that pole swing/jump to the ledge to your left. Walk out onto the beam that is sticking out on this ledge and jump straight to grab onto a beam. climb up on it and walk along it towards the pillar to the left. Jump to the pillar to grab the crack in it and shimmy to your left. Jump to the curtain and slide down it. Before you reach the bottom of the curtain jump backwards to land on a beam. Walk to the right along this beam and then up and jump straight to the pole you can see in the distance. Shimmy down and right and then swing/jump to the ledge you can see in front of you. Jump to the lower ledge to your left and go left. Fight or Avoid the Minions here and make your way to the far side of this ledge. Climb up on the higher ledge to your right when you reach a door that is blocked by rubble. You should see a pillar to your right and the wall on your left. Run up the wall or the pillar and jump before you do the back flip. you need to jump back and forth between the pillar and wall until you reach a open space in the pillar that you will hang from. Jump to the opening in the wall to your left and then jump to the pillar and continue to wall jump between the pillar and wall to the higher opening on the pillar. Shimmy to the Prince's left until he goes around the corner of the pillar. Jump to the beam that you can see to your right near the opening that the Dahaka made. Climb up on the beam (if you are hanging from it) and jump to the narrow ledge below the hole that the Dahaka made. Jump and climb up through the hole that the Dahaka made and use the fountain to heal/save your game if you need to. Follow the hallway to your left and follow this hallway until you reach a hole that the Dahaka made during the Dahaka Chase #1. Climb up the little rock blocks to the left of the hole and wall run up the wall on the left side of the hole to hang from a narrow ledge. Shimmy all the way to the Prince's right and then climb up when you reach a ledge. Turn to your right and wall run along the wall on your left to get over the gap and onto the next ledge. Turn to your right and make your way along this high ledge with the flag poles on it and drop down to the ledge that the Dahaka Chase #1 ended on. Roll into the hole in the wall and follow this hallway to the right up some stairs. Turn right at the top of the stairs and fight or avoid the minion here. Just walk straight off the ledge it was guarding and wall run along the wall to your left. Jump to the column/pillar while doing your wall run right before you reach the brown area on the wall. Climb up the column/pillar and then jump to the ledge you can see from here. Go into the doorway on this ledge. ####################################### # Area: Fortress Entrance - (Present) # ####################################### G. Wall run on the wall to your right until you slide down the curtain. You should remember how to go through this room you land in. If not face the wall that you came down and climb up onto the stone slab behind you. Run up the pillar to your left and then shimmy left. Climb up onto the ledge you reach. Follow this walkway straight and then to the right. Wall run along the wall to your left over the doorway and you should land on a narrow ledge. Drop down and shimmy to your left. When you reach the end drop down twice. follow the walkway behind you and wall run along the wall on the right to get over the gap. Go into the doorway of water at the end of this hallway and then use the Sand Portal here. Scene #################################### # Area: Fortress Entrance - (Past) # #################################### H. Leave this room through the doorway of water. Follow this path straight and to your left will be a few spinning poles. Avoid them and continue to the right. When you reach the gap up ahead you will need to wall run on either wall and time it just right to avoid the saw blades. Continue down this hall and through the doorway. Climb up the column/pillar to your left. Face the Prince's back to the pillar to your right and jump to it. Shimmy to your left and climb up. Follow this walkway to your left and wall run along the wall on your right. You should grab on to a narrow ledge at the end of your wall run (you need to be hanging from it). Shimmy left along this ledge to the other side and climb back up. Jump to your left and follow the walkway here to your left. Wall run along the wall that you come to and you will activate a button. Keep doing the wall run until you slide down the curtain. Quickly go into the door you just opened to your left by activating that button. Go down the stairs and head into the doorway straight ahead. Avoid the two spinning poles in front of you and then roll under the spinning pole to your right. To the Prince's Left you should see some spinning poles. Wait for the correct timing when the two poles are spread far apart and quickly go between them. Use the Fountain to heal/save your game and then continue on down this hallway. Go up the long staircase and fight or avoid the minions at the top of the stairs. Follow the hallway to the left through the doorway up ahead. Wall run to avoid the blade at the top of the stairs and jump across the gap ahead to land on a narrow ledge. Climb up to the highest narrow ledge that you can and then shimmy to the right. Drop down to the lowest narrow ledge at the end and jump to the ledge to your right. Wall run past the blade traps that are here. Continue down this hallway and out of the door at the end of this hallway. Point the Handle towards the Fountain (N on the Diagram above). Go over to the ball/flower shaped lock from the handle and look over the edge on your right near the lock. Drop down on that small square shaped ledge and the camera view should change. Drop off the edge on your left to hang on the edge. Jump to the wall to your left and then push jump again to jump back to the wall you were hanging on. Keep jumping back and forth until you reach the bottom (you are basically doing a downward wall jump). You will be doing that type of wall jump quite a few times in this game so get good at it. Once you reach the bottom drop off the ledge on the left side and drop down to another ledge down below. Wall run along the wall to the Prince's right. When you are at the end of the wall run jump to the wall to the right and then jump back to the wall you were wall running on. Keep jumping back and forth doing the upward wall jump until you reach the ledge on the right. Wall run along the wall on the Prince's left and near the end of this wall run jump to the wall to the right and then back to the wall you were on. Keep jumping back and forth between the walls to do the downward wall jump until you reach one of the ledges at the bottom. If you land on the ledge on the left Jump to the ledge on the right. Once you are on the ledge nearest to the doorway sidestep to the Prince's right and go into the doorway here. When you turn the corner to the right you will see quite a few spinning poles here. Time it just right and run along the left side to avoid the pole on the right. Roll to your right under the pole going up and down and then rung past the remaining two poles. Go around the corner to your left and avoid the blade trap on either side when you see the pole closest to you just starting to come towards you. Use a wall run right as you are going past the blade trap. If you do this just right you can wall run past the first spinning pole and just let go of wall run (R1) before you reach the next pole. Quickly roll under that pole and go around the corner to the end of the hallway. Scene You now have Life Upgrade #3. 4. Head back out the way you came now that there are no longer any traps here. When you get out of the doorway go to your left. Climb up onto the ledge here and jump to the ledge to your right. Face the wall on your right and wall run up it. During the wall run jump and then jump again off the other wall back and forth (doing the upward wall jump) until you reach the top where the handle is in this large room. (Note: The next set of directions are to get you to the Garden tower path. IF you want to do the Mechanical one first you can but when you return after activating the Garden tower as the second tower be sure to move the handle in this Big Central Hall room back to the Mechanical Tower position to avoid a rather bad glitch. Climb up to the narrow ledge above you and then jump to the narrow ledge behind the Prince on the right. Climb up onto the higher narrow ledge and then sidestep to the Prince's right. Jump to the narrow ledge behind the Prince to the left and then climb up to the big ledge above you. You should now see the doorway to your right. Go into the doorway and watch out for the blade traps around the corner to your left. Avoid them (I usually just roll past the ones I can't wall run past) and Drop down into the hole up ahead and follow the hole until you reach the end. Smash open the chest you find here to Unlock Artwork #11. Go back the way you came and wall run/climb back up to the wooden platform you were on. Step on the button now and quickly slow down time. Make your way around the corner to the right and when you reach the wall up ahead I recommend wall running along the wall on your right when you turn the corner to the left (just to make sure you make it to the next platform). Wall run up the left or right wall (it doesn't matter) and jump when you are at the peak of the wall run to grab a pole/pipe. Shimmy right/or left (towards the button in the distance) depending on which way the Prince is facing. Swing/jump to the pole in front of the button and then swing/jump to the button on the wall. Quickly slow down time and land on the now retractable platforms below you. Quickly make your way across them to your left and then to your right. Use the Fountain you find here on your left to heal/save your game. 2. Once you have done that head into the room at the end of this hallway around the corner. Scene (Note: To get rid of the minions in this next area quickly knock them or throw into one of the pools of water surrounding the Water Maiden statue doing this will instantly kill them when they touch the water) 3. Quickly look up to Prince's left before the minions get to you and you should see a ladder. Fight off the minions and face the wall of the doorway that you came in that is near the ladder (the wall with that bright light on it). Wall run up the wall and jump to the ladder. Before you do this go to the far left of the room (if your back is facing the doorway you entered) and smash open the chest here to unlock Artwork #12 (the chest is hidden in the bushes to the left of the pool of water). Now go to the wall and jump to the ladder. Move to the right or left to get the Prince on the correct side of the ladder (with the Prince's back facing towards you) and climb all the way up the ladder. 4. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Fourth Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 5. Climb up the ladder here on this ledge. 6. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Fifth Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 7. You should see a rope from here to your left (if your back is facing the ladder you just climbed up. Wall run along the wall to the rope and then wall run along the wall towards the ledge that the Crowmaster is on. Before the end of the wall run jump to the ledge that the Crowmaster is on. 8. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Sixth Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 9. Once you have defeated him face your back to the wall you did your wall run on and you now need to wall run along the wall in front of you to the right. When you are near the end of your wall run jump to the pole to your right. Swing/Jump to the doorway to your right. Go into the doorway and then jump across the gap in front of you to the narrow ledge. Drop down to the narrow ledge below you and then sidestep all the way left. Keep dropping down until you reach the floor below. Turn around and fight or avoid the minion here. ######################### # Area: Garden - (Past) # ######################### 10. Wall run up the far wall and climb up onto the narrow ledge. Climb up two more narrow ledges and then sidestep right all the way. Climb up on the narrow ledge above you and then side step right to go around the corner. Climb up onto the narrow ledge above you and then jump to the ledge that the Prince's back is facing. Use the Fountain you find here on your left to heal/save your game. 11. Go out of the doorway to your left. Scene 12. Turn the handle you find here counterclockwise until it opens up a door. Go through the doorway and cross over the bridge. Go up the stairs to your left and you should see directly in front of you a wall with a lever on it. (the same kind of lever you used at the hourglass chamber to leave it). Before you do anything with that fight all the minions here. Now before you use the lever go over to the stairs you came up on and face your back to them. Go to the far right corner of this area and hang off the railing here. 13. Drop down and pull yourself up onto this narrow ledge and sidestep to your left. Smash open the chest here to unlock Artwork #13. Sidestep right along the narrow ledge and jump to the wall that the Prince's back is facing. Jump back and forth between the walls until you reach the railing you were hanging on a moment ago. Go over the railing and directly in front of you (behind the wall with that lever I mentioned earlier) there is a chest to smash open to unlock Artwork #14. 14. There is one more thing to do before using that lever. Go back to where the stairs are you got here with and face the Prince's back to them. Head to the Prince's left along the wall here and on your left you will see a gap in the railing near the wall. Hang off of that little gap in the railing and drop down to the narrow ledge below you. Hang off of this narrow ledge and shimmy to your right all the way. Drop down to the narrow ledge below you and then to the ledge below you. Face the gap to your right and wall run along the wall on the Prince's Left. Go into the doorway here and around the corner to the left. Go near the narrow ledge on your right and sidestep left along it. Drop down to the narrow ledge below you and then sidestep to the Prince's left all the way. Jump to the narrow ledge to your right (behind the Prince) and then drop down to the narrow ledge below it. Sidestep all the way to the Prince's Left and then drop down to the next narrow ledge. Drop down from this ledge to the ledge below. Turn around and follow the ledge to the left. Jump to the pole and Swing/jump to the ledge up ahead. Go to the Prince's left and sidestep all the way to the left along the narrow ledge. Drop down to the narrow ledge below and then sidestep to the left again. Jump to the narrow ledge to your right (behind the Prince) and then drop down to the narrow ledge below you. Sidestep left and drop down to the next narrow ledge. Sidestep left again and drop down. Drop down to the floor and follow the hallway here. Watch out around the corner for the Sword blade trap. I recommend either slowing down time and getting by them at the correct time or rolling past them. Around the next corner you will have a spinning pole and blade trap to deal with. Do the same as before by using the slow down time and rolling past these traps. Around the next corner is a bit tougher. You will need to avoid two spinning poles and a sword blade trap. Use the slow down time and make your way past the traps rolling past the sword blades if you need to. Quickly roll past the blade trap and then the spinning pole around the next corner. Now all you need to do is head for the red symbol on the wall. Scene You now have Life Upgrade #4. 15. Make your way out of here the same way you got in and then use that lever on the wall. Slow down time and run to the left and climb up onto the pillar that the lever raised. Wall run up the wall here to grab a narrow ledge. Jump to the beam to your left (behind the Prince). Follow the beam to the right and jump to the beam you can see from here. Go straight to the pillar and sidestep to the left all the way. Jump to the pole to your left (behind the Prince) and then swing/jump to the narrow ledge to your left. Sidestep left and then follow the beam to the left. Sidestep to the left when you reach another pillar and follow the beam you see here on your left to the left. Jump to the pole that is over the lever you used to get up here with and then swing/jump to the tree branch to your left. Follow the tree branch to the left and then jump to the rope on the wall. Swing on the rope and wall run to the pole that you can see along this wall up ahead. Swing/Jump to the narrow ledge up ahead and then shimmy all the way to your right. Jump to the beam on your left and walk over onto the ledge. 16. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Seventh Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 17. Near the doorway he was guarding you should see a pillar with a little ledge on it. Climb up onto that ledge and jump up to the narrow ledge. Shimmy all the way to your left and then pull yourself up. Jump and climb up to the ledge above. Jump the gap to your right where you can see the CrowMaster at. 18. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Eighth Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 19. Wall run up the wall he was guarding and jump to the pole switch. You have now lowered a bridge in the distance. Jump back across the gap and go across that bridge. Go behind the box here and push (R1) the box across the bridge and onto the button. Go back down the same way you got up here to meet up with the CrowMaster again. 20. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Ninth Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 21. Go to the door you opened up and turn the handle you find here clockwise until it clicks into place. Scene ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 11: "Water and Gardens" (45%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ 1. Go down (as in move the prince towards you) and drop down to a ledge here continue to go down and drop into that little water way. Drink the water if you need it and then jump up to the narrow ledge on the wall to the left. Shimmy left all the way along this ledge and then drop down to the ledge it ends above. Walk along the beam to the left (take notice of the cracked wall on the other side of the beam you will be back here later for it) and halfway along it you will see a rope on the wall at the top of the screen. Jump to the rope and slide down to the bottom of it. Drop down to the area below and turn the handle clockwise to open up the door you got here with. Use the Fountain you find here on your left to heal/save your game. 2. Jump across the gap near the fountain to the narrow ledge and make your way back down the narrow ledges to the area below. ############################## # Area: Garden Hall - (Past) # ############################## 3. Make your way across to the other side and make your way up the narrow ledges. When you reach the door at the top hang off the edge and shimmy to the Prince's Left. Drop down onto the curtain and the Prince will use it to get down to the ground safely. 4. Fight off all the minions and birds that show up to attack you and then turn the first handle that is closest to you clockwise twice until it clanks into place (it should be facing the pillar). Go to the next handle near you and turn that one counter clockwise twice (it should be facing the previous handle you turned). Scene 5. Go to the next handle you can see from this one on the other side of the room and turn it clockwise twice (it should be facing towards the final handle you have not used yet). Go to the final handle and turn it clockwise once (it should be facing towards the wall). (Note: Incase you have no clue why you moved those handles it is because you were making the water flow from the pool of the water maiden to the statues in the back part of this area. This made the water flow out of those statues to push down some large switches to open the door at the center of the area.) Scene 6. Go up the stairs to where the water maiden statue is and head to the left and go into the door that you opened up. As you go around the corner to the left you will see on your right a narrow ledge high on the wall. Wall run up that wall to grab that narrow ledge and then sidestep left all the way. Jump up and hang on the narrow ledge above you. Shimmy to your left all the way and then climb up onto the narrow ledge. Jump and grab the ledge above you and climb up onto it. Slash the crow that comes at you and then jump to the ledge to your right (behind the Prince). Sidestep on this ledge all the way to the Prince's left and then climb up two narrow ledges above you. Jump to the ledge to your left (behind the Prince) and follow the hallway to the doorway of water. Go in and use the Fountain you find here to heal/save your game. Activate the Sand Portal here the same way you did previously and then use the Sand Portal. Scene ################################# # Area: Garden Hall - (Present) # ################################# You now have the Breath Of Fate Power attack. 7. Leave this room through the doorway of water. Fight or Avoid the minions in this hallway (I found a good way to get rid of them all you need to do is jump over them (Triangle) and either throw them or push them towards the doorway of water for an instant death for them). Go around the corner of the hallway to the left and jump across the gap to the narrow ledge. Drop down to the lowest narrow ledge and then jump to the narrow ledge to the left. Drop down to the narrow ledge below it and sidestep to the right all the way. Drop down to hang off this narrow ledge and shimmy right. Drop down to the narrow ledge below and sidestep right. Drop down to the floor below and fight or avoid the minion here. Follow this hallway out to the right to a very different water maiden area. 8. When the Prince first makes a remark about the vegetation here look to left and you should see a block. Climb up on it and wall run up the wall here. At the peak of your wall run jump and you should grab the narrow beam. Climb up onto the beam and jump to the beam up ahead. Walk along this beam jump straight ahead for another beam. Follow this beam to the Prince's right until you can jump to a ledge that is above the doorway of the water maiden area. Fight or avoid the minion(s) here and sidestep along the narrow ledge you see to your left (when you first jumped to this ledge). Climb up to the highest narrow ledge. Shimmy to the left and pull yourself up onto the ledge where the minions are. You will now meet some new Camouflaged Minions. Take care of the same way you would the normal ones (I recommend just throwing them off the ledge). Wall run along the wall to your left and you should grab a tree branch at the end of your wall run. Walk long this tree branch to the left and when you reach the end of it jump to the crack in the wall to your left. Sidestep to the Prince's right and then drop down to the tree branch below. Walk along the beam to the right and then drop down to the beam under the end of the branch. Walk along this beam and climb up onto the rock ledge you come to. Jump up to grab the branch to your right and then climb up onto it to walk along it. When you reach the end of this branch climb up and go into the doorway here. Jump across the gap to the narrow ledge up ahead and then sidestep all the way to the Prince's Left. Drop down to the narrow ledge below you and sidestep all the way to the Prince's left. Drop down to the narrow ledge below and sidestep to the Prince's right all the way. Drop down to the narrow ledge below you and then to the narrow ledge below that. Jump to the tree branch to your left (behind the prince). Walk along this branch to the left and jump up to the hole in the wall. Shimmy to the Prince's left all the way and then drop down to a tree branch. Walk along this tree branch to the left and jump to the narrow ledge on the wall to your left. ############################ # Area: Garden - (Present) # ############################ 9. Sidestep to the Prince's left all the way and then climb up onto the highest narrow ledge above you. Sidestep to the Prince's right all the way and then climb up to the narrow ledge above you. Sidestep again all the way to the Prince's right and climb up onto the narrow ledge above you. Jump to the ledge to your left and then use the Fountain you find here to heal/save your game. Go out of the door to your left Scene 10. Fight or avoid the minions here. Hang off the edge of the ledge directly in front of the doorway you came out of and drop down to the narrow ledge below. Drop down to hang off this narrow ledge and shimmy to your right. Drop down to the small square ledge here and hang off the edge of it. Shimmy all the way to your right and then Jump to the ledge to your right (behind the Prince). Drop down and go around the corner to your left. Fight or avoid the minions here and then Wall run up the wall to your left to grab a ledge here. Climb up on the narrow ledge to your left and then hang from the crack in the wall above it. Shimmy to the Prince's left all the way and then climb up onto the narrow ledge. Climb up onto the ledge above you and you should see a broken walkway/bridge in front of you. Get on it and wall run along the wall to your left. Near the end of your wall run jump to the narrow ledge on your right. Shimmy left and then climb up onto the ledge. Fight or avoid the Minions here and then climb up onto the block that was just to your left of where you came up from. Climb up onto the narrow ledge to your left (in front of the Prince) and then jump to the tree trunk to your right (behind the Prince). Climb up the tree trunk some and then face the prince's back to the white tree branch you can see in the distance. Walk along this branch to the left and then jump to the branch to your right (the one you should see in the distance). Swing/jump from this branch to the wall/doorway up ahead and then walk along the top of this wall/doorway to the left. Jump to the gap in the wall in front of you and then shimmy to the Prince's right all the way. Drop down to the ledge below and then walk out onto that short beam. Jump to the branch to your right and swing/jump to the ledge to your right. Climb up onto this ledge and jump to the branch to your left. Swing/Jump to the ledge that the minions are on and fight or avoid them. Facing the Prince's back to the branch you just came from you need to wall run to the left along the wall directly in front of you until you grab a narrow ledge/beam. Climb up on it and walk to the ledge. Use the Fountain you find here to heal/save your game. 11. Wall run up the wall to the right of the fountain and climb up onto the top of the wall. Line yourself up with the tree trunk near you and jump to it. Face the Prince's back to the tree trunk to your left and then jump to that one. Same as before face the Prince's back to the tree trunk to your left and then jump to that one and one more time face the Prince's back to the tree trunk to your left and jump to it. Face the prince's back to the branch you see to your left and jump to that branch. Walk along this branch to the ledge. Go over to the wall on the far left of this ledge and wall run along it to the left. You should grab/hang onto a narrow ledge at the end of the wall run. Shimmy to your left and climb up onto the ledge here to find the doorway you saw during the scene. Go down the hall here and when you go around the corner you should see a few wall pounding traps. You need to time it just right and jump onto the nearest wall pounding trap when it first extends (you are basically doing the whole Mario jumping to the moving ledges type of thing). Quickly jump to the next wall pounder and either wall run or jump to the ledge that the fountain is on up ahead. Use the Fountain you find here to heal/save your game if you need to. 12. Go out of the doorway to your left Jump to the wall pounder at the correct time and then jump to the next one. Wall run along the wall on your left and you should grab a rope. Continue to wall run and jump to the tree trunk to your left. Face the Prince's back towards the spinning pole and wait until the spinning pole is down before you jump in it's direction to get by it. Slide down the pillar you landed on or just jump to the doorway from this pillar and go into the doorway. 13. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Tenth Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. Watch out for his little camouflaged helper. 14. Walk out of the doorway to the right of the one you came in and walk out onto that little beam. Jump to the pillar up ahead and climb up it. Face the Prince's back to the ledge you can see in the distance and jump to it (try not to jump from to high). Wall run along the wall to your left and climb up onto the ledge you run into. Jump to the pillar to your right and then jump to the beam near the doorway to the right of that pillar after you climb to the top of the pillar of course. Go into the doorway and fight or avoid the minions in here. Climb up the ledges to the right and go out of that doorway. Scene 15. Wall run along the wall to your right and jump to the pillar on your left at the end of the wall run (if you want a weapon you can stay with the wall run until you land on the ledge at the end of the wall run). Face the Prince's back to the tree trunk near you and jump to it. Face the Prince's back to the pillar to your left and jump to it. Climb up all the way to the top of it and jump to the railing of a balcony you can see from here near you. Get onto the balcony and drop off it to the right. Go into the doorway you find here and fight or avoid the camouflaged minions here. Wall run up the wall directly in front of you if you are facing the prince's back to the door you came in. Sidestep to the right until your on a ledge and smash open the chest here to unlock Artwork #15. Now drop down from here and go back out of the doorway. Wall run up the wall to the right after climbing on the small ledge to get back up to the balcony. Hang off the railing on the balcony and jump back to the pillar. Slide down and jump back to the tree. Slide down the tree and face the Prince's back to the pole you can see near you. Swing/jump to the pillar up ahead and then jump from this pillar to the narrow ledge. Walk along the narrow ledge to the left and jump to the pole you can see here. Swing/Jump to the ledge that the Crowmaster is on. Scene 16. Boss Chase: "Dahaka Chase #3" Quickly wall run along the wall to your left and quickly slide down the ladder. Jump to the pole to your left (behind the Prince) and then quickly swing/jump to the next pole. Swing/Jump from this pole to the ledge to the left. Follow this ledge up (away from you) and go to the right. The floor will begin to collapse. Wall run on the wall to your left to the next ledge and quickly go into the doorway here. Wall run along the wall to your left to the next ledge and then go to your right and wall run along the wall to your left again. Quickly go out of the doorway here at the end of your wall run and wall run along the wall to the Prince's left (your right). Quickly slide down the ladder here and wall run along the wall to the Prince's left. Smash one of the barrels blocking the doorway here and quickly go into the doorway. Climb up the wall directly in front of you and go to your right. Wall run along the wall to your left and you should grab the ledge in front of a barrel. Quickly shimmy to your right and climb up onto the ledge. Smash one of the barrels in front of you to get by them and then follow this walkway to the left, then right, then left again. You should see a broken wall in front of you at this point. Wall run along the wall to the left of that broken wall and you should grab a rope. Continue to wall run and you will end up on a ledge with a doorway. ################################# # Area: Garden Hall - (Present) # ################################# Scene 17. Go into the doorway and when you reach the gap jump across it to the ladder. Slide down the ladder and at the bottom of the ladder you can either drop down to the ground or use the ladder behind the Prince to get down to the ground. I just drop down as it is faster and didn't lose any life from it. Run to the end of this hall and through the doorway of water. Use the Fountain you find here to heal/save your game. 18. Activate the Sand Portal with the buttons and then use the Sand Portal. Scene ############################## # Area: Garden Hall - (Past) # ############################## You now have a Fourth Sand Tank. 19. Leave through the doorway of water and follow the hallway to a ladder. Climb all the way up it and then jump to the ladder to your right (behind the Prince). Climb all the way up and then jump to the ledge to your left (behind the Prince). 20. Mini-Boss Battle: "Crowmaster (Eleventh Time (Optional))" Do the same as you did before by jumping over him and attacking him until he turns into a few crows again. 21. Wall run along either wall and use the rope in the middle to continue your wall run to the ledge up ahead. Go towards the right side of this ledge. Scene 22. Hang off the railing it showed you and jump to the pole near it. Swing/Jump to the next pole and then Swing/Jump to the railing of the ledge that the minions are on. Fight or avoid the minions on this ledge and then follow the walkway through the doorway to the left. Climb up the ladder that you find near the door and jump to the wall lever to your right. Go into the door it opens up and go down the stairs. Follow this walkway out of a doorway at the end and fight or avoid the minions here. Walk along the narrow ledge to your left if the Prince's back is facing the doorway you came out of. Sidestep all the way to the Prince's right and then jump up to the narrow ledge above you. Climb up and jump up to the gap in the wall above you. Shimmy to the right and climb up onto the ledge. Climb up the ladder and time your wall run just right to get past the saw blades (you will want to go once you see the two closest saw blades are closest to each other). Go into the doorway you come to and wall run along the wall on your right (the wall with the saw blades on it). Time your wall run just right to avoid the saw blades and then jump to the ledge where you see the fountain. Use the Fountain you find here to heal/save your game. 23. Wall run up the wall to your left and go out of the doorway up here. #################################### # Area: Garden Waterworks - (Past) # #################################### Scene 24. Fight or avoid the minions here and go past the handle in the center of this area. Go to the right behind a pillar and smash open the chest here to unlock Artwork #16. Go back to the handle in the center of this area and turn the handle counter-clockwise twice (The long beam on the pillar you are turning should be facing a column/pillar to the left of it). Go over to that pillar you just turned and climb up onto the ledge near it. Wall run up and climb up on top of it. Walk out along the long beam and jump to the pillar. Climb all the way up it and face the Prince's back towards the wall to your right. Jump to the gap and shimmy to the Prince's Left. Drop down onto the ledge once you go around the corner and wall run along the wall the camera is showing you to your left. Use the rope you come to and continue the wall run to the left. Turn the handle on this ledge you land on clockwise once. Walk out onto the small beam to the left and jump to the small beam on the platform you just turned. Walk out onto that long beam and jump to the small beam on the ledge near it. Go along this ledge to the left and walk out onto the small beam to the left on the other side of this ledge. Jump to the long beam you can see from here and then walk out onto the small beam on your right. Jump to the beam of the ledge with another handle on it and turn the Handle counter-clockwise or clockwise twice. Wall run along the wall near this handle and use the rope to continue your wall run. Jump up and hang from the gap to your left and shimmy to the Prince's Left. Line yourself up as best as you can with the pillar to your left and then jump to it. Face the Prince's back towards the turning platform and jump to it. Walk out onto the long beam and jump to the ledge in front of you. Climb up and smash the Chest to your right to unlock Artwork #17. Drop down into the area to the left and roll under the gate to the left. 25. You will see a handle here that you will need to use but before you do that look up and to your right. You should see a doorway up there. Wall run up the walls on the sides of the wall here to grab onto the ledge and then wall run up the wall again to get up to that balcony area where the doorway is at. Once you are up there, head into the doorway. 26. Follow this hallway quickly avoiding the spikes coming out of the floor and roll under the spinning pole. When you turn the corner to your right you will want to slow down time when the closest spinning pole is just starting to go upwards from the floor. Quickly make your way past the spinning poles by rolling under them and then go to the end of the hall where the red symbol is on the wall. Scene You now have Life Upgrade #5. 27. Go back the way you came and go down to that handle that you need to use. Turn the handle counter-clockwise until it clanks into place. Scene 28. Roll back out through the opening under the gate that you got in here with and hang off the edge of the wall on your left (above where the water is coming out of the wall. Jump to the long beam of the platform or the platform itself and then jump to the pillar near it. You are basically going back the way you got here. Climb up the pillar and turn the Prince's back towards the gap in the wall and jump to it. Shimmy to your right and drop down when you are over the ledge. Wall run along the wall to your right and use the rope to get to the handle ledge. Move the handle counter-clockwise or clockwise twice. Go out onto the small beam and jump to the turning platform near you. Walk out onto the long beam to your left and jump to the ledge. Make your way to the right on the ledge. Scene 29. Continue straight and walk out onto that beam to your right. Jump to the long beam and then walk along it to the platform. Go out on the small beam and jump to where the ledge that has the handle is at. Wall run along the wall to your right and use the rope to continue your wall run. Hang from the gap in the wall to your right and shimmy to the Prince's right. Line yourself up at the center of the gap and jump to the pillar behind the Prince. Slide down the pillar and jump to the long beam on the turning platform. Walk to the platform and Drop down on the right side of it to get down to the area below. Fight or avoid the minions here and then turn the handle in the center of the area clockwise or counter-clockwise twice. Scene (Note: You will notice a chest in the scene and a gate blocking your way to get to it. Ignore that Gate/Artwork chest #44 for now and you will get there during Chapter 20: "A Second Chance") ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 12: "The Second Tower" (49%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Objective 5: Activate The Second Tower (Past) Secondary Objective: Retrieve Life Upgrade #6 1. Leave through the doorway on the far right of this area (If you are facing the water flowing out of the tower). You can drop down and use the fountain if you want otherwise just wall run along the wall to the left to get to the ledge in the distance. Turn to the right and wall run at the correct time to avoid the saw blades. Go out of the doorway here and fight or avoid the minions here. wall run along the wall to your left at the correct time to avoid the saw blades. Go down the ladder and hang off the edge of the ledge to your left. Shimmy to your left and drop down to the narrow ledge below you. Side step left and drop down to the narrow ledge below. Sidestep all the way left and go into the doorway you come to. Follow this hallway and climb up the ladder that you see on your left. Jump to the wall lever on your right and quickly make your way through the door that opens. Follow this walkway out to the balcony area. Hang off the railing of the balcony and jump to the pole. Swing/Jump to the next pole and then Swing/jump to the balcony. Scene 2. Go to the far left of this balcony and look to your left. You should see a wall switch in the distance. Wall run along the wall to the left and use the rope to continue the wall run to the balcony that the wall switch is on. Smash open the box here to unlock Artwork #18. Wall run up the wall and push the wall switch. Quickly wall run back across the wall you got here with and use the rope to get back to the walkway you were on. Quickly climb up on the block that extended out of the wall to your left and wall run on the wall above it. Jump from the wall to the pole at the peak of the wall run and shimmy to the Prince's left until you go past the curve in the pole. Swing/Jump to the white narrow ledge that you can see from here. Climb up onto it and sidestep to the Prince's right all the way. Jump to the narrow ledge to your right and then sidestep all the way to the Prince's right again. Jump to the ledge to your right and side step all the way to the right again. Drop down to the ledge below and slide down the ladder to the bottom. Wall run along the wall to your left and use the rope to continue the wall run. Jump to the right before you reach the curtain and smash open the chest on this ledge here to unlock the Artwork #19 (could have it sooner but it was on the way at this point). Jump to the curtain and slide down to a narrow ledge. Drop down the area below and head down the hallway that the Water maiden statue is facing (the hallway it showed you in the scene). 3. Use the fountain if you need to and drop into the hole up ahead (the one you were going across with the retractable floors). Make your way through this hole to the other side and wall run up the wall to grab the narrow ledge. Climb up to the ledge above and drop down into the next hole. Go to the other side of this hole and Wall run the wall to grab the narrow ledge. ############################### # Area: Central Hall - (Past) # ############################### 4. Climb up to the ledge above and follow the hallway in front of you. When you go around the corner to the left watch out for the blade traps. Avoid them and continue down the hall to the right to where the large central hallway room is at. Scene You now have the Lion Sword. (Note: If you already did the Mechanical Tower ignore the next steps and skip down to Chapter 15: "The Empress" to continue on) 5. Jump the gap in front of you and use the fountain if you need to. 5a. Once you are ready turn the Handle in the center of the room counter-clockwise or clockwise twice (W on the Diagram). 6. Jump over to where the Fountain is and wall run along the wall to the left (the wall that the weapon rack is or was if you destroyed it). At the end of your wall run jump to the ledge on the left. You should see in the distance some narrow ledges. Wall run along the wall to the Prince's right and you should grab the narrow ledge at the end of your wall run. Pull yourself up and sidestep left. Jump up and climb up onto the narrow ledge above you. Sidestep to the left and then jump to the ledge behind the Prince. Wall run up the wall in front of you and you should see the doorway of the path leading to the mechanical/gear tower to your left. Before you jump to that doorway jump to that ledge to the right of the doorway (the one closest to you). Smash open the chest that you can see here on a little ledge in front of you to unlock Artwork #20. Now you can either jump to the doorway from here which I don't really recommend unless you are confident in your ability to jump. I recommend just jumping to the ledge you came from and then jump to where the doorway is at. Head into the doorway and wall run up the wall in front of you to pull down a switch. Drop off of the switch and slow down time. Quickly make your way past the blade traps and into the door that is slowly closing. YOU don't have to slow down time if you are quick enough. Once you have gone through that door you will need to wall run or jump across the gap in front of you. Go to the wall at the far end of this hallway. 7. Wall run up the wall on the left or right it doesn't matter and jump from wall to wall doing the upwards wall jump until you reach the ledge at the top. Avoid the saw blades up ahead and climb up the ladder. Shimmy to the left at the top of the ladder until the Prince's back is facing the ledge to your right and then jump to it. Avoid the pounding wall traps that you find at the start of this hallway. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ Chapter 13: "Clockworks And Gears" (54%) ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ /( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\/( )\ ################################### # Area: Mechanical Tower - (Past) # ################################### (Note: I should warn you it seems that most people run into glitches that happen in this tower for people. If you see Invisible Golems or ledges that have moved that should not have moved you probably ran into a glitch. The best way to tell if you ran into a glitch is probably by following all the directions below and if you get to a part that tells you to do something that you can't do because of a ledge missing or if it didn't do what the directions said it would do you probably ran into a glitch.) 1. Use the fountain you find after the wall pounding traps to heal/save your game. Look to your right and you should see in the distance some minions. Go down the stairs and fight them. Go over to the balcony/walkway that has the no railing (Not the circular balcony but the one I'm referring to would be right in front of you on your right if your back is facing the stairs you came down) and walk along the wall to the right until the prince starts sidestepping along the narrow ledge. Side step to the left all the way and then drop down to the narrow ledge below you. Drop down to hang from this narrow ledge and shimmy to the left. Drop down to the narrow ledge below you and then to the next narrow ledge below you. Drop down to hang on this narrow ledge and shimmy to your right. Drop down to the walkway below and you will have more minions to deal with behind you. Try to save at least two sand tanks for after this fight with the minions (easiest way is to just throw them off the ledge). You will understand why I say about saving the sand tanks in just a moment. Once you have dealt with them run towards to doorway on the far side of this walkway/bridge area. Scene 2. Boss Battle "Stone Golem/Giant" He will be coming from directly behind you. When he gets close to you slow down time and either roll between it's legs or around him to get behind him. Quickly slash the back of his legs. If you timed it just right by the time the slow down time ends he should drop to one knee. When he drops to one knee jump on (push towards the foot of the knee his down on and then push X) him. Use slow down time one more time when you have climbed on him and slash him on the back of his head rapidly. You should kill him off before the slow down time wears off. Scene 3. Fight the Minions that come through the door that opened up and then go into the doorway they came out of. Smash open the chest to the right of the stairs in front of you to unlock Artwork #21. Now head to the left of the stairs and you will find a button on the wall here. Wall run up the wall to push the button and then quickly wall run up the block it brings up. Wall run up the wall that it is next to and you should grab a narrow ledge. Climb up onto that narrow ledge and climb up onto the ledge above you. Use the fountain you find to heal/save your game. 4. Walk out onto the beam behind you (this is if you are facing the fountain). You can either slow down time and to the beam on the other side of the fast moving gear or you can just try jumping when part of the fast moving gear is right in front of you. Scene 5. Fight or avoid the minions here and then you should see some moving pillars to your right (this is if you are facing the bridge the minions came across). Jump to the pillar/piston that is moving up and down (or you can be a bit more daring and jump diagonally to the one that is stationary (as in not moving)). Once you are on the one going up and down face the Prince's back to the pillar to the right and jump to the stationary one (the one not moving). Face the Prince's back to the next moving pillar going up and down. When it is at the down position jump on it. Once you are on that moving pillar Jump to the pillar to the Prince's right. Jump to the narrow ledge you can see near you on the Prince's left. Jump from this narrow ledge to the platform the minion is on to your right. Wall run up the wall to use the wall switch and then quickly wall run along the wall to the left. When you reach the ledge drop down to hang from it if you are not hanging from it already (the ledge that the button moved). Shimmy all the way to the Prince's left quickly until you are on the other side of the wall. Quickly pull yourself up and jump to the pole behind the Prince. Swing/Jump to the ledge with the handle and turn the handle counterclockwise as far as it can go. Go back out to the ledge and jump to the pole that moved. Swing/Jump to the pole that is going up and down when it is at it's most downward position (slow down time if you are having a hard time timing it). Swing/Jump from this pole when it is at it's highest position to grab onto a railing of a ledge. Fight the new minions here (exploding variety) and watch out they explode after the third hit. Jump and grab the pole switch here on this ledge. You should see the platform rise. Walk over the wooden walkway and jump onto that platform that just raised up. 6. If you can before you get attacked jump to and climb up onto that small beam on the left side of this platform. If you do this it will save you from having to battle the explosive minions. From this small beam jump to the small beam on the side of the structure near you. Walk to the structure and sidestep to the Prince's right all the way. Climb up onto the narrow ledge above you and then hang from the next narrow ledge above you. Shimmy to the Prince's left all the way and then drop down to grab the railing of the ledge here. Fight the Minion here and then Smash open the chest you find to your left to unlock the Artwork #22. Climb up the ladder that you find here (on the other side of the structure from where you came over the railing from). When you reach the top of the ladder shimmy to the Prince's right all the way. Jump to the narrow ledge along the wall and hang from it. Shimmy to the Prince's left and then climb back up onto the narrow ledge. Jump to the pole behind the prince and then shimmy to the right around the curve of the pole. Swing/Jump to the turning narrow ledge at the correct time and wait for it to face the ledge with the handle on it. Jump to the ledge with the handle and then turn the handle clockwise until it clicks into position. Scene 7. Go back out to the ledge and jump to the pole to your left. Wait for the gear to stop moving to your left and Swing jump to hang from it. Hang on to it until it brings you near the wall to the left. Jump to the pole to your left when the gear stops near the wall. Swing/Jump to the ledge with the button on it and use the button. Scene 8. Quickly go back out onto the ledge and wall run along the wall to the left. When you are at the end of the wall run you will need to slash a minion on the wall and then jump to the ledge that you moved with the button. Climb up onto it and When it moves back from where it was jump to the narrow ledge on the wall. Sidestep/Shimmy left and drop down onto the balcony. Fight off the minions here (the best way I found to get rid of these explosive minions is during slow down time because when you hit them the third time you will have ample time to get away from them). Once you have dealt with them go into the small room they were guarding. Wall run up the wall to the right and jump to the pole switch (clear the barrels in front of the wall first of course). Drop down and go out onto the platform you just raised. Try to climb up on the beam to the right before you get attacked to avoid another fight. Walk out onto the beam that goes towards the fast moving gear and jump past the gear the same way you did before. Walk along this beam to the wall and then jump towards the beam to the Prince's right. You should end up grabbing the ledge above the beam. Pull yourself up and then jump and grab the ledge above you. Climb up onto that narrow ledge and sidestep to the Prince's left. Before you go into the doorway you find here go left and continue to sidestep left along the ledge on the left side of the doorway. Drop down to the balcony that they minion is on and smash open the chest here to unlock Artwork #23. Climb back up onto the narrow ledge and sidestep right to the doorway. Go down the hallway here to the left after avoiding the blade trap and then you can do this two ways A. You can climb up on the wall pounder and jump/climb up on the ledges to the left to get by the spinning poles. or B. This is the method I use all I do is stay near where the wall pounder comes out of the wall and after I climb up on it I quickly wall run over the spinning poles. 9. Avoid the wall pounder ahead of you and then avoid the two spinning poles around the corner to the left. Avoid the spinning poles at the bottom of the stairs and then jump onto the doorway to the right. Climb up onto it and then hang from the gap above you. Shimmy to the Prince's right until he uses the button. Quickly drop down and go through the door that opened to the right. ################################# # Area: Mechanical Pit - (Past) # ################################# 9. Go down the stairs and use the Fountain to heal/save your game. Go down the stairs to the left and into the room at the bottom of the stairs. Scene 10. Fight the minions here and then Wall run up the wall with the button on it. 11. Wall run up the wall again before using slow down time and climb up onto the block that the button raised. Wall run up the wall it is next to and use the rope to wall run to the ledge to the left. Go across the bridge here after fighting the minions and follow the walkway to the left (you will be going to the right in a little bit). Go into the doorway to your right and slow down time to get past the spinning pole and wall pounder trap. Go down the stairs to your right while avoiding the spinning poles here. Avoid the blade trap at the bottom of the stairs and then avoid the wall pounder trap around the corner to the right. Use the button in front of the door and go into the door that opens. Use the ladder in the back of the room and climb all the way up. Jump to the platform behind the Prince and smash open the chest you find here to unlock Artwork #24. Now head all the way back past the traps and follow the walkway to the right of the bridge now. Scene 12. Try to keep at least two sand tanks full because you will be needing them soon (save them for when you reach the walkway the unknown figure was on). Time your Wall run along the wall to your left just right to make it past the gear spokes. Fight the minions here and then head to the right along this wooden walkway. Time your wall run along the wall to your left just right to avoid the gear spokes and when you pass the gear jump to the pillar on your right. Face the Prince's back to the pillar on the right and jump to it and then jump to the pillar to the right of the pillar you are on. Jump onto the pillar to the right of the one you are on and then jump to the ledge with the handle on it. Turn the handle clockwise until it clanks into place. Wall run along the that you can see the now moving platform is on in the distance. Ride this moving platform up to the top and then Wall run back along the same wall. Jump to the wall to your left and then jump back to your right. Keep doing this upwards wall jump until you reach the ledge at the top. Jump to the wooden walkway behind you and follow it. Smash open the chest you find at the end of it to unlock Artwork #25. Go back the way you came and jump into the doorway of the room with the fireplace. Scene 13. Boss Battle "Stone Golem/Giant II" He will be coming from directly ahead of you. Do the same as you did before. When he gets close to you slow down time and either roll between it's legs or around him to get behind him. Quickly slash the back of his legs. If you timed it just right by the time the slow down time ends he should drop to one knee. When he drops to one knee jump on (push towards the foot of the knee his down on and then push X) him. Use slow down time one more time when you have climbed on him and slash him on the back of his head rapidly. You should kill him off before the slow down time wears off. Scene 14. Go into the hallway the Golem/Giant opened up and smash open the chest you find here to unlock Artwork #26. Go back the way you came and go out the doorway to your left. Wall run along the wall to your left and slash the enemy on the wall before using the rope to continue your wall run (if you have your weapon out before wall running it seems to slash the monster on the wall automatically. I don't know if this works all the time it is just something I noticed recently). Jump to the pool of water on your right. Drink water here if you need it and then hop over the railing where the moving paddles are at. Make your way past these paddles by rolling through the gaps at the bottom of them (in a zigzag type pattern). Halfway through doing this you will see a railing on your right with a dry walkway. Jump over the railing and head for the pole switch to the fight. Jump up to pull down on the pole switch. Scene 15. Drop down and head back to the paddle pool. Continue going towards the place the paddles are coming out of the wall (towards that door you opened up). When you get near that wall go to the right of it and jump up to grab the pole that is over this pool of water. 16. Swing/Jump to the next pole and then Swing/Jump to the ledge where the doorway is at. Go into that doorway and quickly run past the spiked floor and spinning pole. Head to the right and quickly go over another spiked floor. When you turn the corner to the left you will need to time your wall run on the right wall to avoid the saw blade on it. Use the rope to continue your wall run at the correct time to avoid the next saw blade. Go around the corner to the left avoiding the two spinning pole and wall pounder.
