VI. Introduction [Intro]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the recent abundance of questions pertaining to the Doll Quest in this
Game and with the FAQs incorrect information pertaining to their locations. I
have decided to write a Doll FAQ. This will break down the locations and the
strategies for obtaining the Dolls for the Doll Quest.

CNTL+F is your friend. Use it wisely. This walkthrough will follow the indepth
table of contents posted at the start of this guide. If you wish to find certain
information, please use the search codes at the far left of the contents to find
what it is that you need.

VIII. Doll Quest Walkthrough [DollQuest]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Doll Quest can be started at anytime after you complete the Guild Training.
To begin this you will first have to obtain the first doll. Once doing so, a new
Green Dot will appear on the map. This Dot will generally appear at night. It is
One of the school children. If you do not go look for him he will run up to you
when you go near him. He will tell you about his School Teacher being a doll
collector. He will explain that with a complete set, his teacher will trade for
an ultra rare doll.

This quest is one that will remain on your quest log until completion and will
be one of the quests that you complete throughout the game. This will be for the
same School Teacher that is requesting the books and both quests will be
completed around the same time.

Overall, this quest is not important to the story nor game for that matter. It
is solely a quest to add more depth and gameplay. The reward is of no use nor
are any of the components collected for the quest except to gain the reward it-
self.

VIII. A. Briar Rose Doll [BriarRose]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is one of the toughest dolls to obtain. You will need to obtain this doll
in order to begin the doll quest. It is important to go ahead and try to obtain
it as soon as you enter into Bowerstone South.

Once in Bowerstone South, Go to the Tavern. There will be two green dots on your
map that are close together indicating the tavern. One is for a mercenary, the
other is for for the Game Master.

The Game Master here in Bowerstone South holds the game of Card Pairing. It is
a Card Memory game similar to the old matching games kids use to play. It is a
Timed game that takes concentration and quick thinking. There are four rows of
four cards. Sixteen Cards in total housing Eight Pair. The object is to match is
to match all Eight pair in under 30 seconds to win. If you complete this task in
26 seconds or under, you will recieve the bonus reward of the Briar Rose Doll.

This is a tough quest as it is hard to cheat since magic is not allowed in
Bowerstone. The only known method for "cheating" this game is to have a piece of
paper and a writing utensil handy.

Start the game, flip over two cards, if you do not match a pair, remember those
two cards and flip over two more. Immediately hit the Escape Key. This will put
the game on pause. Write down the cards you saw and their locations. Return to
the game and continue flipping. Flip two more cards, if they are not a pair to
any of the cards you have wrote down, then flip two more. Use the escape key and
write down all Four cards. If done correctly and timely, you will have only
spent approximately 10-12 seconds of your time and should have the locations of
a couple pairs.

Repeat the process until you either win the game in under 26 seconds or fail. If
you fail, then try again doing the same method. It may take several tries, but
it this is the hardest card game to win in the allotted time. You will
eventually get it in under 26 seconds.

It personally took me about 10 tries to get it in 23.7 seconds. After that I
never played that game at this location again.

This will be the first doll in your collection which will trigger a new green
dot appearing at night near the school. It is One of the school children. If you
do not go look for him he will run up to you when you go near him. He will tell
you about his School Teacher being a doll collector. He will explain that with a
complete set, his teacher will trade for an ultra rare doll.

Your Quest Now Begins. Contine on normal game play until you reach Oakvale.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. B. Whisper Doll [Whisper]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The second doll on our quest is the Whisper Doll. It is located in Oakvale, your
hometown. Once in Oakvale, head to the tavern. There you will find another Game
Master. His game will be Coin Golf.

There are Four holes. You must get a coin into the circles (holes) in thirteen
shots or less to win. In order to get the bonus prize, the Whisper Doll, you
must get it in 11 shots or less.

Ever wonder why you learned angles in Geometry in school? Here it pays off. This
Game is all about angles. I'd suggest reading the play instructions so that you
understand the way the game is played. Using your mouse, you adjust the power of
the coin's slide and using the glasses and obsticles to ricochet the coin into
the hole. You have some leeway with this game as it is not timed, however shots
are counted. You can have up to three shots per hole except for one in which you
need to get it in two shots. So bide your time and save as many shots for the
final hole as possible.

For Hole one, I have found that a medium-hard to hard pull into the edge of the
closest cup will ricochet off at an angle into the top right cup and then bounce
into the hole in 1 shot. This is what worked for me. Its not a 100% absolute
accurate due to the exact angle is hard to illustrate. Just play around with it.
See the illustrations below.

For Hole two, I found that a medium-hard into the left edge of the centerpiece
will bounce into the inside edge of the top left cup and bounce into the middle
of the hole for a hole in 1. Again angles are hard to illustrate so it may take
you a few attempts. Its not a 100% absolute accurate due to the exact angle is
hard to illustrate. Just play around with it. See the illustrations below.

For Hole three, it starts to get more complex. Bank the coin off of the far left
cup with a hard pull. It should bank into the top left cups inside edge and then
into the hole. I've had it miss the top left cup completely and go into the hole
a few times as well. Its not a 100% absolute accurate due to the exact angle is
hard to illustrate. Just play around with it. See the illustrations below.

For Hole four, it gets hard. I've made this one in two shots before, but usually
it takes three or four. Bank the coin into the top edge of the Cup on the far
right with a hard pull. The angle towards the cup should force the coin to shoot
straight up towards the top of the table. If lucky, it will hit the inside
bottom edge of the top most cup and bank towards the hole. Then take a second
shot straight into the hole. I've yet to complete this hole in one shot. It does
not always reach the top most cup and will require the second shot to go into
the bottom left corner of the top most cup sending the coin towards the hole. If
this is the case, the second shot may bank from the cup into the hole, or you
may be forced to take a third shot into the hole. Save as many shots as possible
for this hole because its the hardest of all. If you can get the first three
holes in two shots or less, which is fairly easy, then you will have a minimum
of 3 shots to get the final hole. You will usually have 4-5 shots for the last
hole in order to be able to get the doll. Its not a 100% absolute accurate due
to the exact angle is hard to illustrate. Just play around with it. See the
illustrations below.

hole.

This one takes a minimum of two shots for me. Bank the coin into the top edge of
Cup 6 with a hard pull. It should bank straight up towards Cup 10. If lucky, it
will hit the inside bottom edge of Cup 10 and bank towards the hole. Then take a
second shot straight into the hole. I've yet to complete this hole in one shot.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My personal best was five total shots. I got a hole in one on every hole except
the final one. It took me two shots to get it. Its not a hard game so you should
be able to get the doll on your first couple of tries. Now that you are finished
continue on with normal game play until you reach Twinblade's Camp.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. C. Twinblade Doll [Twinblade]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The third doll in our quest will be the Twinblade Doll. This doll is located in
the Twinblade Camp. When you reach the Twinblade Camp, go downhill and then
continue straight to the tavern. The Game Master will either be sitting at the
table or will be standing up near the unmanned bar.

Its common that the Game Master will try to avoid you, running around like he is
scared. Sometimes its even hard to get him to sit down so you can talk to him
and play.

This is easily solved with a few gifts or a beer or two. He'll sit down and you
can activate him to play.

This game is a memory game in which you attempt to spot the addition. The Game
Master throws out several items and time starts. You study the objects and then
click your mouse and time will stop for a moment. The items get covered up and
then uncovered. Time starts again and you have to click the object that was
added to the lot. It starts out with three items and as you progress up it adds
more to the equation. There will be only one addition to each level. In order to
win you must complete all levels in under 35 seconds. If you complete all levels
in under 20 seconds, you will recieve the Twinblade Doll. This is not a hard
game to win. You also have time breaks where it stops during the parts of the
Game Master adding the extra piece.

If you are having trouble with this game. Magic is allowed in Twinblade's camp.
Simply use the magic "Slow Time" prior to talking to the Game Master. This will
cause time to run at approximately 1\4 as fast as it normally would allowing you
more time to complete the game in under 20 seconds for the Twinblade Doll.

Once you have done that, its on to the fourth Doll. Play through until you reach
Knothole Glade and the White Balverine Quest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. D. Scarlet Robe Doll [ScarletRobe]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Continuing on our quest. The fourth doll will be the Scarlet Robe Doll. This
Doll is located in Knothole Glade. Once here, you will have to play through the
White Balverine quest before attempting to locate the Game Master in the Tavern.

Once you are able to go to the tavern, you can find the Game Master to play his
Card Sorting game. The object is to sort the cards in order from lowest to
highest. Aces are low, Kings are high. Its simple. To win you must do win all
levels in under 35 seconds. If you want the bonus reward, in this case we do,
you will have to do it in under 20 seconds to get the Scarlet Robe Doll.

If you are having trouble with this game. Magic is allowed in Twinblade's camp.
Simply use the magic "Slow Time" prior to talking to the Game Master. This will
cause time to run at approximately 1\4 as fast as it normally would allowing you
more time to complete the game in under 20 seconds for the Scarlet Robe Doll.

Once you have done that, teleport to the guild and pick up the Arena Quest. Then
Teleport back and head for the Arena.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. E. Thunder Doll [Thunder]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Easiest Doll to pick up. Simply purchase it from the Merchant prior to your
fight in the Arena. He is located in the center of the main room. Its known that
he is sometimes scared, so offer a gift if you run into this problem.

If you do not pick up the doll during this time, do not worry. Play through the
Arena. After you are invited to Bowerstone North by Lady Grey, you can purchase
the Thunder Doll from the merchant there.

Continue on with Normal Game Play until you are back at Knothole Glade and the
Assassin Attacks quest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. F. Doll of You [Hero]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When at Knothole Glade, head towards the exit to Witchwood Lake. As you cross
the bridge, an assassin will attack from the small cut trail to your right.
Upon killing him, you will recieve the Doll of Yourself. The downfall is that
this doll does not have anything to do with the doll collection quest. It is
added in this section because it is an obtainable doll, yet used for nothing.

You can also purchase this doll from the merchant in Bowerstone North along with
the Thunder Doll.

There will be a lot to do before the next doll so continue normal game play
until you reach the Return to Hook Coast Quest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. G. Maze Doll [Maze]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you return to Hook Coast, go to the Tavern. There will be a Game Master in
there who will offer the game of Shove Ha'Penny. Its a simple game where you use
a penny and slide it on a game board attempting to land it in the proper spots
for the best score.

Its not a hard game to master. To get the Maze doll, you must complete the game
with a score of 30 or better. If your coin slides partially into another section
it will reward you with the lower of the two scores. If you hit your coins that
you have already shot, you can bounce them out of the scoring range they were in.
This can be both helpful and hurtful.

My suggestion is to spread your shots out, with medium pulls. You should get hit
the 10 point score in the middle of the board each time doing this. It may take
a few tries to get use to, but its a simple game none-the-less.

After mastering this game and receiving the Maze doll, its time to move on to
the final doll that we need to collect. There will be a good bit to do, so
continue normal game play until you reach Snowspire Village.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIII. H. Scythe Doll [Scythe]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once in Snowspire Village. Locate the Tavern in the southern portion near the
Cullis Gate. Inside will be a Game Master with another coin golf. The same game
mechanics apply here as it did in the previous game. Fortunately this one is a
lot easier. Do this in 11 Shots or less to receive the Scythe Doll. The final
doll that we are trying to collect.

For Hole one. Bank the coin off of the left edge of top right with a medium-hard
to hard pull. It will bank back into the center piece and up towards the hole.
With the right angle and pull you can get a hole in one. If you are unsuccessful
then use a second shot to easily put it in. This is the hardest of the four
holes so use as many shots as needed. Its not a 100% absolute accurate due to
the exact angle is hard to illustrate. Just play around with it. See the
illustrations below.

For Hole two. This one usually takes two shots. Bank the coin off of the lower
right cup's left side with a medium-hard pull and it will bank towards cup on
the left and hit it towards the top moving the coin up towards the hole. If done
correctly a second shot will put it in the hole. If you lighten your pull some,
its possible to just bank off the lower right cup towards the left cup and land
in between all of the cups for a simple straight in second shot. Its not a 100%
absolute accurate due to the exact angle is hard to illustrate. Just play
around with it. See the illustrations below.

For Hole three. There are two solid options. Option one is to bank off the edge
of the center cup with a medium-hard pull and into the inside edge of the cup
diagnal from it and it bank into the hole. If you aim carefully you can shoot it
in between the center cup and the cup diagnal to it without touching them for a
straight shot into the hole. It lines up well, if you can aim straight. Its not
a 100% absolute accurate due to the exact angle is hard to illustrate. Just
play around with it. See the illustrations below.

For hole four. Its another simple hole. Just bank off of the lower left cup's
top right side with a medium-hard pull and bank it up towards the hole. If a
second shot is needed, it will be a straight shot in. Another option is to two
shot it. Use a light pull to land it in between the lower left cup and the
center piece then aim straight for the hole. Its not a 100% absolute accurate
due to the exact angle is hard to illustrate. Just play around with it. See the
illustrations below.

towards the hole. If a second shot is needed, it will be a straight shot in.

Another option is to two shot it. Use a light pull to land it in between cup 1
and the center piece then aim straight for the hole.

My personal Best is 4 shots on this coin golf course. It was rather simple.

X. Frequently Asked Questions [FAQ]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q. The FAQs\Walkthroughs say that the card sorting game for the Scarlet Rose
Doll is in Twinblade's Camp but I can not find it. Where is it?

A. Every FAQ\Walkthrough posted is wrong. The game is located in Knothole Glade
and not in Twinblade's Camp. Why all of the FAQs have that as the location, I
do not know. Thats why I decided to write this.

Q. Your Illustrations Suck and So do your coin golf methods.

A. Thanks, your comment is duely noted. I didn't want to go all complex with
some Ascii art illustrations for simplicity purposes and the methods used
were said to not be 100% accurate. I could show you the angles to hit each
cup, yet you would probably phail at hitting the exact same spot. Therefore
its giving you spots to aim for that will cause the right bank shots. You
   just have to perfect them.
