You mean when you have to put the reactor thing's holders back in place, right?
I had a bit of trouble with this myself earlier today, that's how I found you question. What you have to do is to use Jean Gray (there's an X-jet extraction point right there if you don't already have her in your party) and have her use her 1st energy move on the holder, then you can use Storm, Magma, or Cyclops to weld it. There's one more on the other side so you'll have to do the same thing to it, you can get there by either flying around to the other side (easiest, I think)or going through the door (not the one you came through) and following the corridor around to the next door.
