There are two ways:
1.) You either have to get an ethernet (system link) cable and connect it together with your friends Xboxs. You can play system link Splinter Cell with only your friends this way though.
2.) You can also get Xbox Live. This allows you to play online (but it costs a monthly fee).

the problem is that on the box it says 1-4 players why isn't it letting me play the game?
