Question for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

I've spoken to Gaenor the wood elf in Mournhold, just outside the temple. He asked for money. I gave him 50 gold, then he insisted on another 100. I refuesed, and he said I'd get what's coming to me. The next time I went back to the temple, Gaenor was waiting for me, armed and fully armored. I can't seem to hit him with any weapon I carry, ranged or melee. Same goes with magic. Spells or items. Any help would be appreciated.

He is quite powerful, and his ebony armor protects him extremely well (and a really nice piece of loot to sell/use your self after killing him) He's the hardest one I've beaten so far (although I haven't gone messing around with the Hands yet) I used long blade only.

The thing is you simply have to be really strong and wear good armor (+high armor level), same with your weapon. Buy loads of flin or such and take several at a time. Use health cheat or restore health potions. He seems to have some reflection spell on, all my spells were thrown back at me, not good at all.

You could try using some fortify luck stuff too. If you want some help, hire the guy standing in the palace courtyard to follow you and help you while fighting. Buy him some really good blunt weapon prior to facing Gaenor, Gaenor will not attack him, only you. Your soldier will stand behind him and keep hitting him. I think a blunt weapon is to prefer (for your hired guy) since that might knock Gaenor down.

If you still are having problems with him, wait until you've become more powerful over all.

Good luck beating that free loading bitter little sneak!

I am going to agree with Akyria (sorry if I spelled your name wrong I'm not looking at it). If what she said is true about the reflection thingy then buy your own reflection spell then when you do cast a spell and its reflected back you'll reflect it back at him.

But I would wait a little while before I used it because if you do wait then that could mean you have the spell staying on longer than his.

Ok, this is nice and easy, go to a trader who sells sujamma (I recommend creeper in Caldera) buy around 5 or 6 bottles of the stuff then go back to that annoying elf, and drink all of it.

Your strength will go up to 500 or something like that then you should (depending on your level) be able to kill him in three or four hits!!

Happy killing!!
