Go to ebonheart and talk to a guy with adamantium armour (which looks a bit like steel) he stands near the council chambers.

T?o get to Mournhold you would have to have been attacked by the dark brotherhood.

They just randomly sent someone when I was asleep outside of a town then yoy will need to talk to apellus mattius in ebonhart he will tell you that you need to go to mournhold and to get there you will need to talk to asciene raine in the grand council chamber in ebonhart then you can talk to her about transports to mournhold and then shell zapp you there.

If you are anywhere on the main quest you must either kill vivec or talk to him, either way this must be done before entering mournhold.

You dont have to kill Vivec. Listen to the first guy. The Dark Brotherhood isnt random when you reach level 6 (maybe 7). The assasin will attck. If you are having trouble with him and need to rest stand on a rock just above the water or lava.
