YES there IS a Dragon.

I want the world to know because not one person has posted this and there is as far as I know one Dragon in Morrowind Xbox edition. I'm not talking about the fishermen who lies or the talking mudcrab or some trip, I found a dragon once and I'll tell you the story scince the rest of the net seems to think there is none, although this story may be a little late I'm posting this because after years of searching for another person who could back this up I figured it was time to set the record straight and until a game designer can prove me wrong and explain what I saw then there's a dragon there.

OK before the game of the year edition came out I owned the original version on the xbox, while wondering around in this game somewhere from what I recall in the bush near Vivic I came across a trap door in the ground, just saw it there and thought hmm this looks interesting and I think I was trying to escape a rat that could kill my helpless level 3 character. In I went and found the usual cave with torches, used a few potions to sneak past undead, from what I recall a Bone Walker and Flame Atronach. In my despair my potions were used up and out of health I was spotted by both and a chase insued resulting me running aimlessly through the cavern.

I ended up in a chamber which was rounded out at the top and some guy like the typical necromancers that held up in the caves, summoned up this dragon which was huge I mean it could hardly even move in this room and it was red. Judging from it's size compared to my character I would say it was thirty feet in the game and the room seemed to be built for this creature . I was freaked out and while this was happening the necromaner guy is hitting me with magic and Bonelord and his crew showed up so there's fireballs flying at me left and right and all I can see while I'm trying to dodge is the dragons legs. BTW the dragon looked pretty cool.

I had to flee because I was about to die and managed to escape with on last glance back and seeing the dragon stuck and the demons chasing I felt I could get out alive and ran for my life. Not sure were I went after that and it was when I first starting playing the game so it was epic. I went back and combed the woods inch by inch, I know the game from top to bottom from look for this and could never find that door in the ground again. My guess is the door only appears at certain times, if you look at the older games they made they came with a calendar and things happened at cetain times of the year as with morrowind there is also a calender system one which I never fully understood just save and play. So maybe the door appears on one hour of one day or it's there always or random but it was there and I have no reason to make this up. I also switched over to the game of the year version shortly after and assumed it would be the same game but it might be only in the first version perhaps because I have never had the original scince I got my game of the year copy.

Sorry to all of you who have commented all these years saying no but there is in fact one dragon I know of and is read and I saw it summoned and it's not friendly. Read the calender maybe theres a clue like the nude island thing, that may help. I spent two years playing the game and am happy being the only one with this tale. I kid you not and I hope to see another person who can maybe take a picture of this thing, it's like cyrpto elder scrolls.!

So yes THERE IS " A " DRAGON IN MORROWIND XBOX

All hail Diamond Fingers the girl who faced a dragon and lived to tell the tale. Smile

PS. Still say this is the best of them all, best items and characters and magic options but maybe I'm a little old school. Sure miss that lock spell

DUDE I'm so glad I'm not the only friggin person. I swear on Xbox back when morrowind came out my low level dude found a dragon on an iceberg and he shot fireballs at me but at the angle I stood he could not hit me and I shot over 300 arrows at him killed him and took a sword. I went back to seyda neen and killed all the guards and people in the whole town and was amazed that I did at such a low level and I CANT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT IT ANYWHERE ONLINE my wife thinks I was mistaken for another game but Morrison's is the ONLY game I played on Xbox and I know for a fact what I saw

DiamondFingers answered:

Well then it appears there is two of them and now two of us. You managed to kill it, what kind of sword did it drop? I'm guessing if it was in the north on an iceberg it was near the mainland or was it Solstein ?

I'm surprised after all this time someone found this post. It still drives me crazy as there was no info from developers on these characters and it's the one thing I've never been able to solve in a video game. I really think it's got something to do with the calander system in the game, after all it must serve some purpose aside from save file detail. The one I saw was summoned so the Dagoth/ritual thing might have some connection. The Fisherman says some strange things about the nudest island that appears at a certain time and he quotes dragons so perhaps everything he's days has some truth to it.

DiamondFingers answered:

So there is 2 dragons and 2 of us now ! It must be related to the calander dagoth/ritual thing like some special event which would explain why it's so hard to find, you must be in the right place at the right time maybe, the fisherman mentions dragons but he's called a liar but he states there's an nudest island that appears at a certain time with the suns position. Who knows maybe there's truth in everything he says, sure like to find the Morbagash myself.
