Question for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Hey peoples ^^
I wanna know your opinion for this question...as it's to do with the classes.
I wanna go scoundrel...because I think the persuade option is going to become very useful later in the game...but I also wanna go soilder because of the power and HP or vitality points.

So is it possible to make a custom character when creating the character and put in the soilder template on a scoundrel? And then continue as normal adding dexertiy so on so forth.

Basicly what I am asking...is it possible to have the soilders template on a scoundrel? Or...is that impossible?

OR

Could I go soilder with a scoundrel template???

Yes I understand what you mean, I have used this particular technique many times. The thing is the points difference cost (the strenght cost being higher for a scoundrel then a soldier and vis-verca), you will be able to have higher skills but less feats. My prefered chacater set up is a scout, as they are reasonably average and have higher skills, with out a penalty for the feats. Optimum, Str: 14, Dex: 14, Cons: 14, Int: 12, Wis: 13, Char: 11, level up your charisma, wisdom, strength and/or dexterity later on. Cheers

FableNConkerFreak answered:

Yes you can but... If you are a soilder you can get strength and all that stuff for 1 experience point thingy. But if you are a scoundrel it costs 2 plus if you are a scoundrel you start off with very low strength and dexterity and all that.

mazzarooney answered:

I understand what you are saying,
Maybe it would be good to go with a soldier but have a relatively high intelligence so you can get more skills like persuasion because you get more points, then with being a soldier you get feats at a more rapid pace, so you can get a more attacking feats to mae up for the lack of power.

toroman859 answered:

I have an idea, be a soldier and when you become a jedi level up enough, get affect and Dominate mind. They are like a more powerful persuade but in some cases, you will movecloser to the darkside and there is also people who have been trained to resist them that you shouldn't bother with. If you want to be dark, then when you see an opprotunity, make sure Bastila, Jolee, and Juhani are not with you because you will get a nagging about how "The force is not to be used to make profit, it is to help the goodness of the galaxy" or, from Juhani, "This is a respectful man/ woman who is offering you credits you should not even accept and you want them to give you even more!" or, from Jolee,"I may not believe in following the 'light side' or 'dark side', but using the force to get a profit is just wrong".

bdunn98 answered:

How about you become a soilder than when you become a jedi choose affect and dominate mind. But I would choose scoundrel.thats what I like being.

gamer2741 answered:

Its impossible but if you want to you can customize your soldier with high persuade points or your scoundrel with high vp points
