Question for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Ok I'm in the sewers and trying to get to the vulkar base and I have to get past a rancor. How do I get past the rancor.

You can do this the easy way, or you can do this the hard way(s). The hard way is to set up a bunch of mines just outside his range of attention (attention span, even), then shoot him with a blaster, retreat to the tunnels and let him run over the mines; OR use your impressive Stealth skill to get close to him, set up a bunch of mines around his feet, then retreat, shoot him, and he'll die eventually.

That being the hard way, what's the easy way, you wonder? Simple: put a grenade in the Pile of Corpses (after taking what's "yours," of course), and putting one of the artificial scent guys in after it. The Rancor will be attracted to the scent, you will be automatically hidden in the tunnel, and your buddy will eat the grenade and scent. The grenade will blow up on the inside, and your "little friend" will be dead. Too bad, really. He was a good Rancor. Not really, but hey. Also, beware--there're two Vulkar guards just inside the door the Rancor was guarding. Go figure, it being their base and all, but whatever.

You can do it.

All I done is throw a grenade, run away to the tunnel, repeat. Easy.

Go into solo mode by pushing the back button, make sure you have some grenades. About 10 will do. Anyway go into the room with the rancor and lob a grenade. Run back into the tunnel for the rancor will chrge you. Wait until it runs back into the room and lob another grenade. Repeat until it's dead or you rune out of grenades. If you run out of grenades, run in there with a gun and kepp shooting it until it's dead.

Go in to the room and throw a grenade at him, he will charge at you. Then run out the door you came in through and he will go back to the way he was before, keep on doing this and you will kill him.

People keep saying to use granades on it but thats stupid

Just be misson and use stealth put some granaged in the dead bodys then put the synthasysed oder in then watch the cut scene of the rancer blowing it's own face off
