Question for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

When you are on the unknown planet, and reclaim the title of Dark Lord of the Sith, is there any way to find Carth when he runs off?

When Carth runs you have to quickly use force speed and follow him until he stops than you can talk to him or kill him.
