How come the cheats does not work I been trying. Do you have to beat the game first .Because I do the controller thing and put ( XX,YY,BB,AA ) and it doesn't work.

Try putting the second controller into the port & leaving it a few seconds. That's what I had to do. If the cheats still wont go in, try putting them in @ different speeds. I've noticed that it needs to be 2 buttons per second. I hope this helps.
