Question for Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee

I'm not entirely sure what part I'm at, but it's after where munch uses the crane to pick up the 2 Mudokons and Abe takes them through to the next part of the level, there he gets to a platform where the little man pops up and says something like ''you have to get all the mudokons through the gauntlet of sligs, I don't know how ya going to pull this one off''.

I can't get any further, I can run through the gauntlet myself, but there is no way I could rescue my dudes wiithout them getting blasted, I have no way I can posses the sligs, so really I haven't got a clue what to do ???? HELP PLEASE

Pick up one of your Muddokons and carry him through. When you get to the end throw him over. Then go back and get more. It takes a while but you get there. They can't all go through at once.
