Question for Ninja Gaiden

I have a newbish question, In chapter two, is there an easy way to get past that big guy on that big horse?

What I did to get past him was before I went onto the bridge where you fight him...I got the most arrows I could carry from the body with all the arrows stuck in him, where I fought the guys on the horses......

Then I saved it....and after that I killed off all of the guys with that special attack that come out with the big guy in red..Then after all of them were dead...i used all of my arrows on him and after they were all gone I used the rest of my ninpo..and if that doesn't work jst keep at it and you will effentualy get him.

Hes actually quite simple if you can master his moves.

When he is charging at you use your charge y attack on him this will hurt him pretty badly and stun him to. At that time use your x attack repeatidly.

Keep doing this over and over and if you need to use your nimpo attack on him.
