Question for Ninja Gaiden

I just bought this game the other day and I am having probs on level 2 with the samurai dude on the horse. He just keeps kicking my ass.

What is a good fighting technique I can use on him?

This guy is back up by 12 other demons.

You can block all of the samurai's attacks and kill the demon mages.

Then attack the samurai.

Wait till he comes at you with his weapon. When he starts to turn around pummel him with 4-5 slashes.

What I did was wait till he turns and runs to the other side of the bridge and attack, but not the mages because they keep coming back until you defeat him.
