There is no such thing a a short-handed shot but a short-handed goal is when one team scores when the other team is on a power play. So the team that scores has a player in the penalty box and is a man short. If you mean back-handed shot then that is a shot where the player shoots they opposite way and on the other side of him. To do that you just have to turn the player away from the goalie a bit and tap the shot button. Back-handers are less powerful but are quick and great on one timers because the goalie has less time to react. Just take the hockey school and you will learn about that kind of stuff.
