One time I died and then it said killed by the guardians.

It's not a glitch, trust me. Even though this question was already asked and answered, I'll save you the trouble for finding it.
I'm pretty sure that the guardians have to do something with the creation of Halo or the Gods of Halo or some weird important group that has to do with Halo.
Whenever your death isn't caused by an enemy, suicide, or "you fell to your death" in multiplayer, it will say "you were killed by the guardians."
Like in waterworks, the giant metal moving thing in the middle at the top destroyed me and my banshee the guardians killed me.
They may have built it, but I don't know.
It is when an object like a barrel or another flying object hits you with enough force to kill you.
It was a glitch it happened to me while I was at my friends house it scared me lol
