How do I beat Tartarus in the control room?

Well now that somebody mentioned it, you need an energy sword, a brute shot and a wingless Banshee. You can get it by crashing into objects numerous times.

With your wingless banshee, fly in the door and fly through and park it by the door and ambush the brutes, none should be standing after you're done with them.

After that, you fly through the door to your right and after the movie, you turn back and get your Banshee and use your Banshee bomb to kill Tarterus.

You shoot him or have someone else shoot him until his sheilds go down, then you kill him or try, it took me a while.

If your are talking about the last level, you have to attack him when he's not glowing. That black guy shoots him with a sniper. If he comes after you, run away or you'll die. Just shoot him when he's not glowing and eventually. Believe me. I've already beaten the game twice. (and no I do not have Xbox live)

Once Seargent Johnson shoots Taturus with the beam rifle 3 time his shield will go down. If you have a good visual of his back pound it with a Lunge Attack. Or if you have a visual of his head pull out a Carbine And go for head shots. If you run out of energy or carbine ammo try Dual Needlers you can find them from a squished Covenant Spec Ops Elite. Again once Johnson takes don his shields blast his ass with the Needlers.

Note: Normal Brutes will come through out the battle go to the top floor and wait for some Elites to come and take care of them. Also Seargent Johnson needs exactly 3 clear shots in order for Taturus shields to go down. So don't go after Taturus if the Sarge misses.

First you throw a grenade to kill all of the brutes in your way. Then you jump to the platform in the middle. Then if you walk into the blue beam in the center of the room, it will lift you up to another platform above tartarus. Now, there's another platform below the one that tartarus is on (I think) and on one of these platforms (can't rember which), theres a purple covenant weapon box containg two brute rifles.

Duel weld these and go to the level that Tartarus is on (use the beam - it'll take you to the top, then jump down to Tartarus). When his sheild is up, run away. The black dude will shoot at Tartarus and his shield will go down for 2 to 4 seconds. This is when you unload your plasma rifles on him. The use of plasma rifles seems to keep his shield down longer, allowing you to kill him faster.

DON'T shoot Tartarus when is sheild is up, only the Black dude can take out his shield. If you can't see Tartarus, you can still tell once his shield has been knocked out because you'll hear the Black dude say "His shield is down, take him out now!" Using this method, his shield was down only 3 times before I killed him.

Actually,you just fight until S.Johnson comes in and when he does let him do it....

Tartarus is simple (for this you need a energy sword and any other weapon)

When the movie clip ends you will be standing there with 4 brutes shooting at you (tartarus is behind them) throw a plasma grenade in the middle of them and all the brutes will be dead, now follow tartarus and jump on the platform (some elites will follow you) let the elites fight tartarus and sgt. johnson shoot him with the beam rifle, when his shields are down lunge at him with the energy sword, make sure you lunge then move away other wise he will hit you with his hammer (if your fast and skilled you could get two hits in or even three!) just keep to this routine and soon he'll be dead!

You need a sword and just slash away
